Department: 02190 GCMG Sports Medicine: Lake Norman - Immediate Care Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 20 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Shifts are at our Lake Norman, Charlotte, and Providence clinics. 5 shifts/22 hours per week. Shifts will be on Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. Shift duration - Weekdays 5p-9p; Weekends 9a-2p. Pay Range $28.55 - $42.85 Major Responsibilities Performs and a ssists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician. Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity. Prepares and administers contrast media as required . Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary. Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills. Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards. Minimum Job Requirements Education Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology. Certification / License M ust be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date. BLS required . Work Experience K nowledge / Skills / Abilities Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and demonstrates the skills and competency appropriate to the ages, culture, developmental stages, and special needs of the patient population served. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Requires strenuous physical effort while assisting patients from wheelchairs and stretchers. Handles equipment and monitoring supplies. Must have good oral and written communication skills to interact with patients and hospital staff. May be required to frequently stretch, bend, twist, squat or kneel in operating radiographic equipment. Must be able to use hands for power gripping, speed work and precision during manipulation of radiographic equipment and in the case of injured and diseased patients. Vision and hearing for distances of up to 10 feet is necessary. May be exposed to various physical conditions throughout the workday such as walking on hard surfaces, climbing stairs, and being near moving equipment.
