Job description
If you’re a certified Journeyperson Refrigeration Mechanic, or a 3rd or 4th year apprentice, with strong troubleshooting skills and a desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, we want to hear from you. As a Refrigeration Mechanic, you’ll play a key role in keeping critical HVAC and refrigeration systems running smoothly across a dynamic, high-traffic facility. Responsibilities include: • Repairing and maintaining air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems across the facility • Installing and replacing pumps and refrigeration equipment using blueprints, diagrams, and specifications • Reading gauges and adjusting valves, controls, and pumps to regulate system pressure and performance • Performing ongoing maintenance on rooftop units, make-up air units, exhaust fans, and fan coils • Troubleshooting and repairing HVAC and refrigeration components in a variety of environments • Maintaining cooling towers, water treatment systems, and distribution systems • Supporting additional maintenance and repair tasks as required What We’re Looking For: Valid Journeyperson Refrigeration Certificate or registered 3rd or 4th year apprentice with relevant hands-on experience. Ideally 3+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC/refrigeration. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Ice plant experience is an asset. Must be physically capable of working at heights, in confined spaces, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Details: Full-time | Flexible availability required (Monday–Friday with on-call as needed). Hourly Journeyperson rate: $43.00 per hour. Must pass basic security clearance.
