Department: 34127 Carolinas Medical Center - LCH: Nursing: Surgical Pool Status: Part time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 24 Schedule Details/Additional Information: 2 12-hour shifts per week; 7p – 7a Weekend and Holiday rotation requirements 1-year pediatric experience preferred Float pay differential offered after completion of orientation for all regular worked hours Pay Range: $38.20 - $57.30 Additonal $6/hr float pool differential once off orientation period. Where You Will Work: The Pediatric Med/Surg Float Team provides supplemental staffing across Atrium Health Levine Children's Hospital in Charlotte, NC and occasionally Atrium Health Cabarrus Levine Children's Jeff Gordon Children's Center in Concord, NC. RN's primarily support the general pediatric medical surgical units, but have the ability to cross-train in specialty areas within Levine Children's Hospital i.e., Children's ED, CVICU, PICU, Neonatal, Progressive, and obtain Chemo certification. Opportunities for cross-training into specialty area are available based on department needs, individual performance, and seniority. Cross-training is typically considered after at least one year of experience in the role with a primary focus on medical-surgical nursing. Expectations We’re Looking For: Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire. At least one year of pediatric in-patient RN experience is preferred. What You’ll Do: • As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. • Using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. About This Location: Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital (LCH) has taken the community to another level of service to provide care for the growing population of children in our region. At 247 beds, LCH is the largest children’s hospital between Atlanta and Washington DC.
