Originally opened as a temporary surge unit, 6C has successfully transitioned into a permanent nursing unit, creating an exciting opportunity for nurses who want to be part of a growing team from the ground up. About the Unit 6C is a general medical unit caring for adult patients with a broad range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Nurses develop strong assessment and critical thinking skills while caring for patients with diverse medical diagnoses and varying levels of complexity. Common patient populations include, but are not limited to: Pneumonia Syncope Diabetes management Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) Altered mental status General medical admissions requiring diagnostic evaluation and treatment Grow Your Career Professional development is a cornerstone of our team culture. We are currently offering a $20,000 Sign On Bonus for selected external candidates, committing to two years on our overnight schedule on 2C. This will be paid out in 6-month increments of $5,000. Location: Newark Campus Department: 6C Medical Unit Schedule: Full-Time Flex | 36 Hours/Week | 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. Weekend & Holiday Commitment: Per department guidelines Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
