City/State Suffolk, VA Work Shift Third (Nights) Overview: Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Unit Coordinator for 3 North Med Surg. This is a Full Time , Night shift position in Suffolk, VA. Hours: 7PM to 7AM with rotating weekend schedule. About the unit: The Medical-Surgical Unit at Sentara Obici Hospital is a great place to learn and grow, supported by a longstanding leadership team and strong preceptors dedicated to mentoring new nurses. The Med Surg has 21 bed unit. A general med surg - sees all types of patients - great variety and you will see a good mix of patients. This unit offers a collaborative, supportive environment ideal for both new graduates and experienced nurses seeking to enhance their skillset. Unit coordinators are on staff, ensuring smooth operations and quality patient care. The RN Unit Coordinator Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department. Under the direction of the department manager leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff. Increase staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service. Education Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN (Required Masters of Science in Nursing - MSN (Preferred) Certification/Licensure Registered nursing License (Required) BLS required within 90 days of hire Professional Specialty Nursing Certification (Preferred).
