We are currently seeking a Remote Architectural Energy Modeler to join our team. As an Architectural Energy Modeler, **you will be supporting the energy and sustainability team in early architectural concept design, through Passive House or similar energy certifications.** This is a remote position that offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and collaborate with talented professionals from around the world. ### Responsibilities - Create detailed energy models for buildings using software such as EnergyPlus, IESVE, or DesignBuilder. - Conduct energy simulations and analysis to evaluate and optimize building performance. - Assist architects and engineers in integrating sustainable design strategies. - Provide recommendations for energy-efficient building systems and materials. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project goals and objectives. - Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in energy modeling. - Present findings and recommendations to clients and project teams. ## Requirements - BS Degree in Mechanical/Architectural Engineering, Architectural Design, or related field. - Proficient with **Therm, WUFI Passive House, Sketchup, Rhino 3D, and AutoCAD.** - **Experience with energy modeling following ASHRAE 90.1** Appendix G for code-compliance, LEED and/or utility incentives. - **PHI or PHIUS, “CPHC” certification preferable.** - Familiarity with mechanical systems for high performance residential buildings. - Excellent organizational and communication skills. - **A shared passion for operational and embodied decarbonization of buildings the built environment.** - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Fluency in English: Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Attention to detail and accuracy in modeling and analysis. - Flexibility to adapt to project requirements and timelines. ## Benefits - Work From Home or anywhere - Highly Competitive Compensation - Work for the most exciting companies in the US - Flexible Schedule - Healthy Work-Life Balance ## Apply [Apply at ](https://apply.workable.com/uptalent-dot-i-o/j/FF5537208B/apply) --- Powered by [Workable](https://www.workable.com)
