The Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) trains doctors who put patients at the centre of their exemplary care. The School, which offers both undergraduate and graduate programmes, is named after local philanthropist Tan Sri Dato Lee Kong Chian. Established in 2010 by Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in partnership with Imperial College London, LKCMedicine aims to be a model for innovative medical education and a centre for transformative research. The School’s primary clinical partner is the National Healthcare Group, a leader in public healthcare recognised for the quality of its medical expertise, facilities and teaching. The School is transitioning to an NTU medical school ahead of the 2028 successful conclusion of the NTU-Imperial partnership to set up a Joint Medical School. In August 2024, we welcomed our first intake of the NTU MBBS programme, that has been recently enhanced to include themes like precision medicine and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, with an expanded scope in the medical humanities. Graduates from the five-year undergraduate medical degree programme will have a strong understanding of the scientific basis of medicine, with an emphasis on technology, data science and the humanities. We are part of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University. Our research focuses on uncovering the cellular and molecular mechanisms of skeletal ageing. We are a dynamic team of researchers studying fundamental cell biology using cutting-edge imaging approaches. We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a strong passion for research to join our team. The successful candidate will contribute to ongoing scientific projects while also supporting the smooth running of the laboratory. In addition to research activities, the role will include a range of laboratory and administrative responsibilities, such as assisting the Principal Investigator with grant management and reporting, coordinating laboratory purchases and ordering reagents, maintaining inventory and ensuring smooth lab operations, and supporting general administrative tasks as needed. The role will involve active participation in research projects as well as essential laboratory support duties. These include assisting with experimental planning and execution, maintaining cell cultures and reagents, supporting imaging workflows, and contributing to data analysis and interpretation. In addition, the candidate will assist with laboratory administration such as supporting grant-related documentation, coordinating procurement of lab reagents and consumables, and ensuring smooth day-to-day laboratory operations. Competencies and Qualification Requirements: Bachelor (for Research Assistant) or Master (for Research Associate) in Biological/Biomedical Sciences or related disciplines or Degree in veterinary sciences. Experience as a research assistant in Biomedical sciences is desirable RCULAC training and experience with mouse models would be advantageous. Hiring Institution: LKC
