Corporate Research – Research and Technology Center Asia Pacific is a team of international & interdisciplinary scientists, driving cutting edge research to leverage on Asia’s excellent expertise. To strengthen our team, we want talent to join us for: Work scope includes : Conduct research and pre-development of innovative electrical machines for electrified vehicles but not limited to Focus on electromagnetic design, simulation and optimization as well as prototyping and validation. Work closely with corporate research hub in Renningen, Germany, on project activities and competence development. Work closely with business units to supply cutting edge and competitive technology solutions and to transform them to products. Execute technology scouting in China/Asia covering both academia and industry for preparing strategic decisions. Main responsibilities include Pursue technology excellence by contributing brilliant ideas to new product concepts including patent filing Support project activities to transfer deliverables to business units successfully Manage suppliers and lab facilities for sample construction. Ph.D or Master degree in discipline of electrical machine At least 5 years electrical machine design experience in academia or industry for Master degree Expert knowledge and practical experiences in electrical machine design, simulation, fast prototyping and experimental validation Familiar with mechanical design, thermal management, and tools such as Ansys, JMAG, MotorCAD, UG, Matlab/ Simulink. Excellent communication skills, fluent in English (oral and written), German speaking is a plus Good knowledge with certain level of experience on electric powertrain system and components e.g. inverter, electric motor and gearbox are preferred.
