Opportunities exist for motivated Registered Respiratory Therapists (and Certified Respiratory Therapy Technicians) with the skills to provide a high level of quality service in a variety of settings including the ED, Trauma and Critical Care. Summary: Our Transport program provides complete care for high acuity patients from infant to adolescent during inter-facility transport via ambulance or fixed wing. Transport Respiratory Therapists (RT) ensure continuity of care, medical management and safe transport of patients. From ventilatory/cardiac monitoring to ICU level of care, RT's work directly with doctors, nurses, other medical professionals to give best possible outcomes for patients. Responsibilities: Implements patient population specific interventions based on individual patient needs.Organizes coordinates and prioritizes respiratory care activities considering the needs of the patient.Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care.Assesses the patient s cardio/ pulmonary system according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure.Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of patient care.Evaluates effectiveness of care and care coordination progressing patients toward desired outcomes.
