North 40 Outfitters in Great Falls, MT (West Location) is looking to hire a Full-Time Salaried Category Assistant Store Manager - Clothing & Footwear to join our team. As a Category Assistant Store Manager - Clothing & Footwear at North 40, you will be responsible for the customer experience and will ensure we exceed expectations. As an Assistant Store Manager at North 40, you will be responsible for the customer experience and will ensure we exceed expectations. Key Responsibilities Lead, coach, and develop a sales team of 20+ employees Drive sales performance and execute business goals Support hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management Oversee daily store operations, including opening and closing routines Manage freight flow, inventory, merchandising, and replenishment Ensure store safety, security, and operational compliance Deliver exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction Partner with the Store Manager to drive results and continuously improve store performance This full-time position requires the ability to work all scheduled shifts between the business hours of Mon-Sat 7 am to 7 pm, and Sunday 9 am to 5 pm. As this is a managerial position it is not uncommon to work 50+ hours a week. This shift can include working weekends and certain holidays and will require flexibility in scheduling based on business needs. Previous retail management or leadership experience required Experience leading and developing large teams Strong communication, coaching, and decision-making skills Proven accountability for team performance and results Ability to multitask and lead in a fast-paced retail environment Experience with merchandising, inventory management, and sales leadership preferred Farm & ranch, outdoor recreation, hardware, or animal health knowledge is a plus Forklift certification or ability to obtain required certifications preferred BENEFITS & COMPENSATION Starting salary: $50,000+ annually We offer: Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance 401(k) with company benefits Health Savings Account (HSA) Paid holidays Employee discount Career growth and development opportunities North 40 Outfitters is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
