Retail Field Trainer - Australia/New Zealand

Job description

About the position: Based at our Melbourne HQ this role delivers retail training on the ground in the southern region including our showrooms across Australia and New Zealand. You will be the person who turns new starters into confident, capable and high performing team members, and helps our existing teams keep getting better. You will work on the floor training and observing live appointments and coaching in the moment, alongside our Showroom Managers and Regional Executives, reporting to our Head of Retail. Key responsibilities include: Deliver and adapt structured onboarding for retail new starters across the region. Build and own our onboarding framework and training documentation, making it consistent and practical across every showroom. Develop a training curriculum for each retail level (Client Adviser through to Showroom Manager) and run ongoing group and one-on-one training for existing teams. Shadow live client appointments and give structured and confident feedback. Lead training for new showroom openings, and step in where a showroom needs extra support on the ground. Partner with Showroom Managers and Regional Executives to identify training needs from performance data, and contribute to individual development plans. Keep our knowledge base current, so every showroom is working from the same playbook. What we are seeking: Proven experience designing and delivering training or onboarding, either in a dedicated training role or as a core part of a retail leadership role. Retail floor experience, ideally in luxury, jewellery or appointment-based consultative sales is advantageous. A self-starter with strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt as priorities change. Willingness to travel regularly across the Southern region, sometimes at short notice, and to work an occasional weekend day for appointment observation. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or similar facilitation qualification is highly regarded. What we offer: Build something from the ground up – shape how Cullen onboards and develops its retail teams, in a role designed to set the standard for our showrooms globally. Full Cullen Client Adviser onboarding before you start training others, so you step into our showrooms with real floor credibility. Variety and travel across our Southern showrooms, including new showroom openings. Generous staff discounts on our fine jewellery, plus a 20% discount for your friends and family. An extra week of paid leave every year to support a charity close to your heart. Sponsorship of a child in need via Baptist World Aid for every full-time team member who joins our family. #cullenjewellery About us: Founded by Jordan Cullen in 2018, Cullen Jewellery is an Australian fine jewellery brand grounded in intention, care, and considered design.
