Reporting to the VP of Risk Management & Insurance within Legal, this person will join a team that is responsible for assessing, mitigating, and managing Kayne Anderson’s Real Estate risk management and insurance programs. The successful candidate is a team player with willingness to roll up their sleeves and effectively manage risk. Essential Job Functions (Duties/Responsibilities):Assist with the implementation of overall risk management initiatives across verticals.Manage and possess knowledge of the claims process across various lines of coverage (property, general and professional liability, Builder’s Risk, etc.)Receive and process claim notices, liens, and lawsuits along with other reports related to claims and litigations. Liaise with internal and external counsel in setting and pursuing effective and cost-efficient litigation strategies.Manage claims and litigation and act as a liaison to insurance carriers and legal counsel Document and communicate claim activity timely, effectively and in a manner which supports the proper outcome of the claim or litigation file.
