## Risk Management Internship ## Job Details: Location: Carmel, Indiana Internship Dates: Summer 2027 Schedule: Full-time (37.5 hours/week) Compensation: Competitively Paid ## Role Overview: This internship offers a rotational experience within MJ’s Risk Management Division, designed for a curious and determined learner passionate about the risk management and insurance industry. Interns will gain exposure to seven key areas of MJ’s Risk Management Consulting practice—Risk Management Business Consulting, Analytics, Risk Services, Risk Transfer, Strategic Marketing, Risk Advocacy and Claims. The experience culminates in a capstone project in one of these areas, with an opportunity to make a strategic contribution to MJ’s capabilities. ## Key Responsibilities **Key Responsibility 1** - Observe and learn how MJ delivers risk management consulting across five key areas: - **Business Consulting**: Assist in creating client risk profiles and strategies - **Analytics**: Use proprietary tools to analyze risk data and identify improvements - **Risk Services**: Explore internal and external risk mitigation solutions - **Risk Transfer**: Contribute to building insurance program plans - **Claims**: Assist in analyzing and resolving client claim activity - **Strategic Marketing****:** Observe and participate in working on strategic client plans, and learn about our carrier partnerships - **Risk Advocacy****:** Assist in supporting the service team **Key Responsibility 2** - Participate in an action learning **capstone project** focused on one of the five risk capability areas, delivering a strategic solution to enhance MJ’s offerings **Key Responsibility 3** - Generate innovative ideas for product improvement, client experience, and operational process enhancements **Key Responsibility 4** - Collaborate with MJ Client Executives and cross-functional teams to support real-world client needs and develop professional skills in consulting and communication ## Required Qualifications - Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialization in Risk Management and Insurance or a clear vocational interest in the field (not required) - Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - Strong verbal and written communication skills - General research and problem-solving abilities
