Position Summary: The Registered Nurse works in a collaborative and cooperative relationship with other members of the health care team, plans and implements patient and family education and is responsible for assessing the needs and initiating appropriate intervention for patients. Minimum Qualifications: Required Montana Licensure (Registered Nurse) American Heart Association BLS Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required within 6 months of hire; (NRP recertification required every 2 years) Electronic Fetal Monitoring Series Certificate of Completion (or equivalent AWHONN approved course) required within 6 months of hire (Not required if a Lactation RN) (FHM recertification required every 2 years) American Heart Association ACLS required within 1 year of hire (Not required if a Lactation RN) Competence in and a willingness and ability to practice modified primary nursing Two hours of initial cerebrovascular disease (stroke) education within one year of hire If Lactation RN: Certification in lactation consulting/counseling (CLC, IBCLC) Preferred One year labor and delivery experience Essential Job Functions: In addition to the essential functions of the job listed below, employees must have on-time completion of all required education as assigned per DNV requirements, Bozeman Health policy, and other registry requirements. The position may necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts. On-call work may be required to respond promptly to organizational, patient, or employee needs. This position is represented by the Montana Nurse's Association. Cognitive Skills (Continuously): Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow. Exposures (Continuously): Bloodborne pathogens, such as blood, bodily fluids, or tissues. Radiation in settings where medical imaging procedures are performed. Various chemicals and medications are used in healthcare settings. Job tasks may involve handling cleaning products, disinfectants, and other substances. Infectious diseases are caused by contact with patients in areas that may have contagious illnesses.
