RN School Nurse

As a Registered Nurse with The Menta Education Group, you will oversee the health and well-being of students, act as a resource for health education and maintain student records and data for compliance purposes. **RN will support two locations: Menta Academy Belleville and Menta Academy Millstadt, alternating days during the week.** **6400 W. Main St. Suite 3 "O" Belleville, IL 62223** **425 S. Veterans Dr. Millstadt IL 62260** **8:00am-3:30pm CT, Monday-Friday, following a school calendar** **Direct Hire with our school: Return school year after school year (no annual contract)** **No Nights, No Weekends** ### Responsibilities - Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services. - Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school. - Document each instance for medication administration. - Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation of medication administration - Maintain security of school health supplies. - Instruct students in health education. - Correspond with parents and medical providers on the health needs of students. - Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data. - Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly. - Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed. - Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies. ### Qualifications - **Current/Active Registered Nurse** - Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment. - Considerable knowledge of child growth and development. - Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies. - Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services. - Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served. - Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources. ### Compensation & Benefits - In accordance with the Pay Transparency amendment to the Illinois Equal Pay Act of 2003, information about pay ranges and employee benefits can be found at the following links: - **Compensation Information:** - - Please refer to the "Medical" section for this position's category - Our benefits package includes comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance; paid time off (PTO); and a 403(b) retirement plan with an employer match.
