Discover the rewarding career you deserve—apply today! Utilization Review Coordinator RN opportunity in beautiful Hamilton, Montana!! Bitterroot Health is seeking candidates to fill a Utilization Review Coordinator RN position. The UR Coordinator ensures the patients get the right treatment from the resources that are available in the hospital. The UR Coordinator is responsible for organizing and facilitating day to day UR activities for all inpatients and observation patients. The Duties include initial contact with payers and ongoing coordination to update the clinical situation of the patient. The UR Coordinator will serve as a resource to clinicians on placement of the patient in the proper medical service. The UR Coordinator will serve as a resource to the Case Managers and Social Workers to assist with the discharge plan of the patient. They will also be available as needed to serve as a patient advocate and answer questions the patients may have. The UR Coordinator will issue ABN and code 44 forms when necessary. The UR Coordinator will be expected to attend quarterly MR/UR Committee meetings and provide ongoing recommendations and feedback for appropriate patient status as well as look for opportunities to continually educate the clinical staff. Minimum Qualifications: Education: • RN Case Management or Coding experience preferred. Licensures, Certifications, Registrations: • RN Licensure in the State of MT or • CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H, RHIT, or RHIA Job Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: • Prior experience in the medical field related to Case Management, coding and/or billing preferred Experience • UR experience preferred Schedule: Part-time, 16 hours/week For benefits overview, click here.
