LaBella Associates is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Safety Observer to join our Program Management division for various construction and civil projects throughout New York State. The Safety Observer will be responsible for monitoring and promoting safety protocols on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among team members.The successful candidate will work closely with our client's management and labor teams to identify safety concerns and implement corrective actions to promote a safe working environment.Responsibilities: Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on project sites. Observe and report on compliance with safety policies and procedures. Create and deliver safety training sessions as necessary. Participate in safety meetings and briefings. Document safety incidents and prepare reports. Collaborate with project teams to address safety issues proactively. Requirements 5+ years of experience in safety observation or related field in the construction industry. OSHA 30-hour Construction certificate. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to various project sites as needed.
