Sales Consultant

Job description

## **Sales Consultant** **THE CARWOW GROUP** Carwow Group is building the go-to destination for car-changing, reaching drivers everywhere through a portfolio of automotive brands: Carwow, Auto Express, evo, Driving Electric and Car Buyer. Carwow started as a car reviews site and is now one of the largest online car-changing destinations in Europe, with over 10m customers helping them buy and sell cars. Our Sell My Car service lists cars for sale through a daily online auction, matching sellers with dealers who want to buy. In 2024 we acquired Autovia, doubling our audience. Our team of around 500 people across the UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal is revolutionising car-changing, and we are expanding across every brand and country we operate in. **WHY JOIN US?** Shortlisted in the prestigious Culture 100 list of the top Growth companies to work for by Hyer; we also recently raised $52m in funding led by global venture capital firm an early backer of LinkedIn and Shopify, Bessemer Venture Partners, to accelerate our growth plans! As pioneers, we’re always driving for new territory and positive change, so our work as a group is never done. Where others see difficulty, it’s our responsibility to see possibility – building new experiences, launching new titles and listening to drivers. Being a part of Carwow Group means championing drivers and the automotive industry, acting as a disrupter and never being afraid to fail (but learning fast when we do!). Our team of 500 employees across the UK, Germany, Spain and Portugal are revolutionising car-changing and we are fast expanding our mission across every single brand and country we operate in, so jump in! **THE ROLE** As a Sales Consultant in the Sales Team, you are the main person guiding our customers into the auction and getting their car sold. Our daily online auction can list over 1,000 cars a day, and behind every one is a seller who wants the best price and a hassle-free sale. You will take them from first conversation to sale: getting their listing right, setting realistic price expectations, then negotiating the sale to land the best price. Owning the whole journey means stronger rapport, better phone calls and fewer cancellations, and you will see the result of your work in every sale. **WHAT YOU’LL DO** - Manage a daily pipeline of sellers, making calls to guide each one from first conversation to a completed listing and an accepted offer, and hit daily, weekly and monthly targets. - Review listings uploaded by sellers and work with them to fix any omissions or errors, so every car enters the auction accurately and complete. - Explain the Carwow auction process and give honest, market-based pricing advice, so sellers feel informed and confident. - Listen to sellers' concerns and overcome objections, using our sales frameworks. - Negotiate on the seller's behalf to get their offer accepted at the best price the market will pay. - Uphold our call quality standards in every interaction, so sellers have a positive experience with Carwow. - Meet daily KPIs for call volumes, for email and text contact. - Partner with cross-functional teams, including pre-qualification and post-sales fulfilment, sharing insight and feedback on what sellers need. **WHAT YOU’LL NEED** - We are looking for someone with a track record of hitting targets who is equally comfortable building rapport with a seller and negotiating confidently on their behalf. - Previous experience in a target-driven role, with goals based on revenue or volume of sales. - Experience managing a high-volume lead pipeline independently, with a consistent sales process and performance. - Proven ability to negotiate and handle objections. - Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to build rapport with sellers from diverse backgrounds. - Comfort working across phone, email, live chat and SMS. - A proactive, customer-focused approach, with a genuine desire to help sellers achieve their goals. - Strong attention to detail and organisation, for accurate listings, tidy pipeline records and efficient follow-up. - You are self-motivated, driven by both your own targets and the teams, and work just as well independently as you do as part of a team. - Flexibility to work weekends on a rota (see Working pattern and location). - Enthusiasm for the automotive industry and for keeping up with trends is a plus. **WORKING PATTERN AND LOCATION** This is a full-time role of 37.5 hours a week, worked over 5 days. Shifts rotate across Monday to Sunday and fall between 9am and 7pm. - **Weekends:** Weekend days are shared across the Sales Team on a rota that repeats every eight weekends and is published in advance. When you work a weekend day, you'll get a weekday off in the same week / time off in lieu, so you still work 5 days in total. - **Public holidays:** Carwow operates seven days a week, so you may be scheduled to work on public holidays - **Location:** hybrid, with a minimum of three days a week in the office at Bournemouth, Winnersh, London or Porto. **WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU** - Hybrid working - Competitive salary to fund that dream holiday to Bali - Matched pension contributions for a peaceful retirement - Share options - when we thrive, so do you! - Vitality Private Healthcare, for peace of mind, plus eyecare vouchers - Life Assurance for (even more) peace of mind - Monthly coaching sessions with Spill - our mental wellbeing partner - Enhanced holiday package, plus Bank Holidays - 28 days annual leave - 1 day for your wedding - 1 day off when you move house - because moving is hard enough without work! - For your third year anniversary, get 30 days of annual leave per year - For your tenth year anniversary, get 35 days of annual leave per year - Option to buy 3 extra days of holiday per year - Work from abroad for a month - Inclusive parental, partner and shared parental leave, fertility treatment and pregnancy loss policies - Bubble childcare support and discounted nanny fees for little ones - The latest tech (Macbook or Surface) to power your gif-sending talents - Up to £500/€550 home office allowance for that massage chair you’ve been talking about - Generous learning and development budget to help you master your craft - Regular social events: tech lunches, coffee with the exec sessions, lunch 8 learns, book clubs, social events/anything else you pester us for - Refer a friend, get paid.
