Sales Development Representative / Manager - USA

Job description

**About Inworld** Inworld is a research lab and inference provider focused on realtime AI for consumer-facing applications. We build first-party speech models, serve LLMs, and run the inference behind modular APIs designed for high-volume, realtime workloads. Hundreds of millions of users interact with Inworld powered apps every day and we serve over 10 trillion LLM tokens per month. Our models and infrastructure support consumer applications across companions, healthcare, fitness, education, media, and more. Our work spans model research, realtime inference, large-scale serving infrastructure, and the APIs developers use to bring these capabilities into production. We’ve raised more than $125M from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Section 32, Kleiner Perkins, Microsoft’s M12 venture fund, Founders Fund, Meta, Stanford, and others. Our technology has powered experiences from companies including NVIDIA, Microsoft Xbox, Niantic, Logitech Streamlabs, Wishroll, Little Umbrella, and Bible Chat. Inworld has also been recognized by CB Insights as one of the 100 most promising AI companies globally and named one of LinkedIn’s Top 10 Startups in the USA. We are looking for a Sales Development Representative / Manager. You’ll be one of our first sales development hires, and the person most of our future customers talk to first. Your job is to open doors: calling, emailing and finding creative ways to start conversations with companies that should be working with us. You’ll help run outreach yourself every day, and decide what our prospecting playbook looks like as we grow. This role is based in the SF Bay Area. You will work on-site at our Mountain View office a few days a week. **Responsibilities** - **Pipeline Targets:** Own a monthly target for qualified meetings and pipeline. Plan your week around hitting it, and flag early when you need support or a new approach. - **Cold Outreach:** Conduct cold outbound every day. Start conversations with prospects who aren’t expecting to hear from us and turn them into booked meetings for our GTM Leads. - **Multi-Channel Prospecting:** Pair calls with personalized email, LinkedIn and event follow-up. Give every prospect a clear reason to take the meeting. - **AI-Assisted Research:** Use AI tools to research accounts, find buying signals and personalize outreach at scale, so more of your time goes to live conversations. - **Meeting Quality:** Qualify prospects carefully before handoff, and give AEs the context they need to run a strong first call. - **CRM & Metrics:** Keep the CRM accurate and up to date. Track your activity and conversion rates, and use them to sharpen our approach. - **Testing & Feedback:** Try new talk tracks, subject lines and angles. Share what’s working with the team and the Director of Sales Development so the best plays get adopted. **Requirements** - 2+ years in an SDR or BDR role, with a consistent record of hitting your numbers - AI-native approach to outbound and comfort with latest AI prospecting tools - Curiosity about how products work, and enough confidence to hold a conversation with technical buyers - Self-direction and comfort in a small team where the process is still being written - Comfort selling technical products to technical buyers, and the credibility to engage senior stakeholders directly - Ability to operate independently and thrive in ambiguity, with no task too small - Exceptional written and verbal communication skills The United States base salary range for this full-time position is between $100,000 - $160,000 + variable + equity + benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process. [Inworld Jobs Privacy](https://inworld.ai/jobs-privacy)
