Sales Development Representative, US East Coast or Midwest

Job description

## **The Role** Geordie is building the platform enterprises rely on to govern their AI agents safely — and pipeline is the lifeblood of our growth. As one of our first SDRs, you'll be where it all starts: getting Geordie in front of the right people, creating opportunities where none existed, and fuelling the revenue engine that takes us to the next level. This is not a role for someone who wants to work a list. You'll be cold calling, cold emailing, building sequences, finding creative ways into large enterprises, and doing whatever it takes to book meetings with the people who matter. The grind is real. What matters is that you show up the same way on a tough day as you do on a great one. You'll work closely with our Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and the broader GTM team — but this is an early hire, which means you'll also have real influence on how we build the SDR function. If you're hungry, curious, and want to grow into a closing role or a GTM leadership position at a fast-moving AI security company, there is a clear path for you here. ## **What You’ll Do** - **Outbound Prospecting** — Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation through cold calling, personalised email outreach, LinkedIn, and any creative channel you can find. Volume and quality, not one or the other. - **Target Account Research** — Identify and prioritise agent-forward technology companies where Geordie's platform solves a real and urgent problem. Know who to call before you call them. - **Creative Outreach** — Go beyond the standard sequence. Find the angle, the hook, the reason someone should take 30 minutes with Geordie today. Think like a marketer, execute like a seller. - **Product & Competitive Knowledge** — Learn the Geordie platform inside and out. Understand how we stack up against the competition. Be ready to deliver a sharp, compelling intro demo and handle early objections with confidence. - **AE Collaboration** — Work hand-in-hand with Account Executives to align on target accounts, share intel, coordinate outreach, and ensure smooth handoffs that set deals up to close. - **CRM Discipline** — Log everything. Keep your activity, sequences, and pipeline data clean and current. Your data helps the whole team make better decisions. - **Embrace AI Tools** — Use AI agents and tools like Claude Cowork to work faster, personalise at scale, and find edges others miss. We build agent technology — we expect you to use it. - **Contribute to the Playbook** — As one of our first SDRs, share what's working, flag what isn't, and help us build the outbound motion that scales with the company. ## **What We’re Looking For** - You're hungry. Not motivated-LinkedIn-post hungry — actually hungry. You want to make calls, hit numbers, and prove yourself every single day. - You bounce back. A day with no meetings booked doesn't break your stride — it sharpens it. You come back the next day with a better message and more dials. - You're creative. The best way in isn't always the most obvious one. You think differently about how to get in front of the right people and you're not afraid to try something new. - You're curious. You want to understand the product, the market, the competitive landscape, and the problems your prospects are losing sleep over. You do the reading. - You're a team player. You make AEs' lives easier, share information openly, and invest in the success of the people around you. - You embrace AI. You actively use AI tools to work smarter and faster — and you're excited to sell a product that sits at the centre of the AI agent revolution. - You want to build. You're not just looking for a job — you want to be a key early GTM hire at a company that's going somewhere, and you're ready to put in the work to grow with it. - Based in the Eastern Time Zone or Central Time Zone and available to work ET and CT hours. ## **Requirements** - 1–2 years of SDR or BDR experience, ideally at an early-stage SaaS or cybersecurity company. - Proven track record of hitting or exceeding outbound pipeline targets. - Experience with cold calling — comfortable picking up the phone and having real conversations, not just sending sequences and hoping. - Familiarity with CRM tools and a strong habit of keeping activity and pipeline data accurate and up to date. - Strong written communication — you can write a cold email that gets a reply. - Based in the Eastern Time Zone and available to work ET hours. - Genuine curiosity about AI, enterprise security, or the agent ecosystem. ## **Why This Role** The AI agent space is moving fast, and the companies building with agents need to govern them safely. That's exactly what Geordie does — and the market is just getting started. As one of our first SDRs, you'll have a front-row seat to how a high-growth AI security company builds its go-to-market from scratch. You'll learn from experienced sellers, work on deals that matter, and have a real shot at growing into a closing role as we scale. If you want to be part of something early, move fast, and build a career in one of the most exciting spaces in enterprise tech — this is your seat. ## **Our Values** **Solve What Matters** We listen intently and stay focused on what truly matters to our customers. If it doesn't help them navigate real-world agentic adoption and risk, it's probably not worth building. **Build, Learn, Iterate** We favour momentum over perfection - testing, learning, and evolving through action. It's how we move fast and get better, together. **Kind, Not Comfortable** We're honest, respectful, and unafraid to challenge each other. We believe doing great work should feel good, too. Kindness makes that possible. **A Platform for Your Best Work** We want this to be the most meaningful chapter of your career. Geordie is the place where you grow, lead and lift others, while building something that truly matters.
