Job description

[What the role is] You will perform analytical work on various research projects in Entomology and Nematology. [What you will be working on] • Perform molecular work (e.g. DNA extraction, fragment analysis & sequencing analysis) • Conduct insect surveillance and field sampling • Conduct research experiments, collecting and archiving data • Perform insect colony and plant maintenance • Perform data analysis and report writing • Any other duties as required [What we are looking for] • Area of study in Biology, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, or related disciplines • Knowledge of general biology and statistics • Comfortable with field and lab work • Good laboratory skills, including molecular techniques • Class 3 or 3A driving licence to facilitate field work • Self-motivated, able to multi-task and work with minimal supervision • Positive attitude and able to thrive in a challenging environment Office Location: The Animal & Plant Health Centre 6 Perahu Road, Singapore 718827 (Bus pick-up and drop-off at Jurong East and Kranji MRT stations are available) Only shortlisted candidates will be notified. Successful candidate will be offered an 11-month employment contract.
