SDR Manager

Job description

# **About Outtake** Outtake exists to empower and facilitate trust for a digital-first world. Today, impersonation, fraud, AI-driven scams, and identity abuse spread faster than any security team can respond to. So we built something different: an agentic AI platform that proactively detects, monitors, and takes down impersonators, automating protection in hours, not weeks. Built by ex-Palantir, ex-CTO/founders, and ex-Notion engineers, Outtake is designed for clarity, autonomy, and velocity. Our goal is ambitious: become the trust layer of the modern internet. And we intend to do it with a lean, dense, exceptionally talented team. Outtake is backed by top-tier investors and operators who believe in our mission and our model. With strong financial footing and a long runway, we prioritize creating an environment where people can do the best work of their careers. # The Role As SDR Manager, you'll lead frontline execution on Outtake's pipeline engine. You’ll own the daily performance and development of a fast-growing SDR team that books meetings with CISOs, Threat Intel leaders, fraud teams and brand protection executives at the world's largest enterprises. You'll report directly to the Head of Sales Development, who owns the strategy and operating model; you'll own the people: coaching, ramp, inspection and performance. You'll start with ~4-5 direct reports and take on more frontline ownership as we scale. We’re 8 SDRs today and the Head of SDR will own frontline with as you ramp. The team is early-tenure and highly coachable, which means your coaching directly shapes their growth. At Outtake, AI-enabled enterprise selling is innovated, taught, and practiced. Your playbooks from the past are stepping-off points to a more efficient, AI-driven way of building pipeline. ## What You’ll Do - **Coach relentlessly:** Run weekly 1:1s, call reviews and live coaching that raise the quality of every rep's prospecting, messaging and early discovery - **Run onboarding and ramp:** Turn new-hire ramp into a repeatable engine that gets SDRs productive fast and consistently - **Inspect what matters:** Track activity, conversion and pipeline quality closely enough to catch gaps early and diagnose - **Drive accountability:** Set clear standards, hold them, and manage performance with care and directness - **Run the daily operation:** Keep multichannel execution (phone, email, LinkedIn) tight across outbound, inbound and campaign motions - **Report the number:** Give leadership clear visibility into team performance, pipeline and forecast - **Partner with Sales:** Build strong SDR/AE working relationships around account coverage, handoffs and meeting quality - **Experiment within the system:** Test new plays, signals and messaging inside the broader strategy; measure what works and scale it - **Feed the strategy:** Bring patterns from the floor back to the Head of Sales Development to improve the whole pipeline engine - **Develop future talent:** Coach reps along Outtake's career path so they're ready to move into closing roles or other avenues that feed Outtake’s talent pipeline - **Help build the team:** Partner on hiring and raise the bar on the SDR talent profile ## What You’ll Need To Bring - 1+ years directly managing SDRs or BDRs in B2B SaaS or AI - Prior quota-carrying experience as an SDR or AE - A track record as an excellent frontline coach whose reps measurably improved and hit pipeline targets - Strength in inspection, accountability and performance management, with a data-driven approach to metrics and funnels - Experience onboarding and ramping early-career reps - High agency and comfort in a fast-moving, early-stage environment - Ability to execute within a broader strategy while contributing observations and ideas back into it - Real, hands-on use of AI in your own and your team's workflow beyond surface-level tool familiarity - Passion for fostering a positive, high-energy team culture while driving consistent results - Presence in our Brooklyn office 5 days a week ## Nice To Have - Experience prospecting into Fortune 500 / Global 2000 accounts, especially security, risk, fraud or adjacent enterprise tech buyers - History of promoting SDRs into AE roles - Experience at a high-growth AI startup - Hands-on experience with modern outbound tooling (Nooks, Common Room, Clay, Claude, Codex) ## What Success Will Look Like - Your reps consistently hit pipeline targets, and the quality of meetings and qualified opportunities climbs quarter over quarter - New SDRs ramp faster and more consistently than before you arrived - Performance gaps get caught and addressed early, before they show up as missed numbers - AEs trust the pipeline your team creates and see you as a true partner - Your frontline insights visibly shape how we target, message and run the SDR org - Reps on your team earn promotions along the career path - You earn more frontline ownership as the team grows toward multiple pods # Life at Outtake - **Office:** For those in NY, we are an in-person team (5 days a week, with flexibility as needed) working out of a stunning waterfront office in Brooklyn. Collaboration, speed, and clarity matter. - **Health:** 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision for employees. - **Time Away:** Flexible PTO. We trust adults to manage energy, not clock time. - **Culture & Team:** Annual company retreats and regular in-person events. Outtake is an equal opportunity employer. We are committed to building a diverse, inclusive team.
