Senior Account Executive

Job description

***The selected candidate for this role will be based in NYC as this is a hybrid, 3-4 days in office role (123 William St., New York). Must be willing to travel once or twice a month.*** **Bisnow Overview** Bisnow is the leading B2B media platform powering the commercial real estate industry. We connect CRE professionals through award-winning news, high-impact events, marketing solutions, recruiting services, and sales enablement tools that drive real business results. With 1.7M+ subscribers and 400+ events annually across 47 markets in the U.S., Canada, the UK, Ireland, and the Netherlands, we don’t just cover the industry, we help move it forward. We inform. We connect. We create opportunities that turn into deals. Global mindset. Hyper-local execution. **About Escape, Ascent & Elevate** Escape, Ascent, and Elevate are Bisnow's invite-only gatherings for the industry's top investors and developers. Most CRE events still run on panels and business cards. For the past decade, our retreats have rewritten that playbook — changing how investors and developers actually connect throughout the year. - Escape — the most exclusive community of CRE owners, developers, and investors in the country. - Ascent — the next generation of CRE decision-makers, under 45, with $4T+ in combined AUM. - Elevate — the national young professionals network for CRE analysts, associates, and directors. **The Role** This is a senior sales seat on a small, high-output team. Internally we call this role, Business Manager. Reporting to the SVP of Executive Retreats — who's spent a decade building this business — you'll own a full sales cycle each of our retreats: prospecting, pitching, and closing new members and sponsors, then managing those relationships year over year. You'll be on the phone and in the room with the CEOs, principals, and CIOs who run the CRE industry, and increasingly, with the capital and infrastructure players moving into adjacent spaces like data centers and private credit. ### Key Responsibilities - Build and manage a pipeline of prospective attendees and sponsors through research, outbound prospecting, and referrals from our existing member community - Run the full sales cycle — outreach, pitch, objection-handling, close — and own the relationship after the deal is signed - Work directly with the retreats team to grow Escape, Ascent, and Elevate into new markets and asset classes - Keep pipeline and client data current and accurate in Salesforce - Spot what's next — new formats, new verticals, new ways to get the right people in the room ### What We're Looking For We're hiring for judgment and drive more than a specific résumé path. Two backgrounds tend to translate well: - Commercial real estate sales — investment sales, capital markets, brokerage, or title/lending, where you've sold relationships and trust as much as a product - Enterprise or platform sales at a fast-growing technology, AI, or data infrastructure company (think Agora or similar), where you've sold into technical and executive buyers on a long, consultative cycle Beyond that: - 5–8+ years of consultative, relationship-driven sales experience closing high-value deals with senior decision-makers - Genuine comfort in a room with CEOs and principals — poise, credibility, and the ability to hold your own with aggressive, sophisticated professionals - A hunter's mentality — you build your own pipeline, you don't wait on inbound - Excellent follow-up, documentation, and organizational instincts ### What's In It For You? - Competitive compensation structure - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance - effective the 1st of the month following your start date. - Short and Long Term Disability Insurance - this includes maternity and paternity leaves as well. - 401K - Flexible Spending Account - Dependent Care Account - Unlimited Vacation Days - 7 days paid sick leave - 9 paid Holidays - Referral Bonus Program - Pet Friendly Offices - You’ll get to work with incredibly smart, passionate, driven, ambitious, kind, caring and mindful people and will rarely experience an overload of policies, bureaucracy or toxicity (the latter, we do not tolerate).
