Senior Account Manager or Account Director

Job description

About Bud We are a refreshingly effective PR & Content agency that solves complex communications problems by crafting stories and strategies that build trust, earn fandom and provoke action. Our integrated communications services are purpose-built for ambitiously disruptive organisations seeking to positively change the world, through groundbreaking ideas, technology or both. Our Values Hustle – We work smart to create exponential outcomes, and embrace challenges like a zen warrior. Playful Curiosity – We're fascinated by the world around us, and value humility, actions over words and the power of listening. Always Be Growing – We strive to be better, every day. Authenticity – We're thoroughly good people to work with, and manifest our diverse Rojak spirit through compassion and speaking plainly. The Role The Account Director plays a pivotal role within our growing Manila team. Reporting directly to the GM and CEO, and working alongside our existing AD and Team Lead, they are responsible for deepening Bud's crisis and issues management practice in the Philippines while setting the operational rhythm across their accounts and managing a talented team of communications practitioners. Off the back of significant growth, we're looking for an experienced, strategic and commercially grounded comms leader who brings genuine crisis expertise, loves their craft, and is ready to help shape what Bud does in market. What We're Looking For Leading a diverse portfolio of clients spanning B2B and B2C industries, with the confidence to navigate complex, high-stakes communications environments. Building and deepening Bud's crisis and issues management capability in the Philippines — developing frameworks, processes and counsel that raise the bar for the whole team. Senior client counsel with proven track record, particularly in crisis. Able to advise and navigate sensitive situations with grace, gravitas and effectiveness, and to instil that same capability in the people around you. Experience in regulated industries will be a definite plus. A phenomenal team player and leader, able to coach, lead and inspire your direct reports to deliver work that creates real impact for clients. Creating and advising on strategic communications recommendations that are, wherever possible, grounded in evidence of audience behaviour and market conditions. Building and implementing effective process and quality control across production, client management and resource planning. Ensuring client and project plans are delivered to consistently high standards. Growing assigned clients each year, measured through net revenue, while maintaining reasonable monthly profitability. Training and developing your team based on identified gaps in skills and capabilities. Representing Bud at external events and networking opportunities, with the intention of building the agency's reputation and talent pipeline in market. Fostering a culture of team over individual achievement, and helping bring Bud's core values to life through the way the team works day to day. More About Bud Launched in 2020, Bud has fast become APAC's leading boutique PR agency specialising in disruptive technologies and the challenger tech brands that power them.
