Senior Accountant

Job description

**Globality is the autonomous sourcing platform to manage the entire intake to award process.** At Globality, we build agentic technology that transforms how global enterprises source goods and services — autonomously, at scale, and without the inefficiencies that have defined procurement for decades. Our platform interprets purchase intent, generates sourcing materials, evaluates suppliers, and executes negotiation strategies without manual intervention. **The Role** The Senior Accountant is a key member of Globality's accounting team, supporting the general ledger functions that keep the business running accurately as it scales: month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. You will take ownership of your assigned accounts and processes, and you will be encouraged to spot improvements and raise them with the team. This role suits someone who wants more than a narrow, siloed accounting job. You will work closely with the VP Controller, and with colleagues across finance and other functions globally, and you will have room to grow your scope and responsibility as the company scales. Solid GAAP knowledge and a willingness to learn and adapt are essential, and prior experience at a growing SaaS company will help you move quickly here. **What You Will Do** - **Own the close for assigned accounts and entities.** Manage the monthly close process for your assigned areas, preparing reconciliations, journal entries, and related deliverables on schedule. - **Analyze financial results.** Prepare monthly flux analysis of assigned balance sheet and income statement accounts, identifying and explaining variances. - **Assist with foreign entity reporting.** Work with external service providers to gather and review information for Globality's foreign entities. - **Support compliance filings.** Help maintain annual state and local registrations to keep Globality in good standing across jurisdictions. - **Support audit and tax.** Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for year-end audits and annual tax return preparation, and respond to requests from auditors and tax advisors. - **Improve how the team works.** Identify and recommend process improvements and financial system enhancements, and help implement them alongside the team. - **Grow with the team.** Collaborate and cross-train with other members of the accounting team to build bench strength and consistency, and take on expanded scope and responsibility as the company grows and you develop. **What You Bring** - 3+ years of progressive accounting experience - Working knowledge of GAAP and FASB financial reporting principles - Experience with NetSuite or an equivalent ERP system - Strong Excel skills - Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and adapt as the business grows - Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your workpapers - Effective communicator, both written and oral, who collaborates well across teams - Proven ability to prioritize and manage workload in a fast-paced environment - BS in Finance, Accounting, or related field - Genuine interest in using AI tools to work more efficiently, and comfortable experimenting with new tools and finding ways to apply them to close, reconciliations, and reporting Nice to have: - CPA license - Experience at a growing SaaS or technology company - Familiarity with Airbase (Paylocity for Finance) and Carta **Why Globality** **The opportunity is enormous.** Enterprise procurement is one of the last major business functions to be transformed by AI. We're not optimizing at the margins — we're fundamentally rethinking how trillions of dollars get spent. **The team is world-class.**Our leadership team brings decades of experience from leading global enterprises, and our culture is built for people who want real ownership, not titles. **You'll have real impact.** This isn't a role where you execute someone else's playbook. You'll shape the strategy, build the programs, and see the direct business impact of your work. **We work together — literally.** We're in-office four days a week in Palo Alto because the best ideas -- and the fastest decisions -- happen face to face. One day a week is yours to work wherever you’re most effective. *The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $150,000.
