Learn more at We're looking for a **Senior AI Engineer** who wants to build AI that works in the real world, on real enterprise data, with problems that don't have textbook answers. You'll join a team where AI isn't just the product. It's how we work. We care more about your growth curve than your years. If AI has made you a dramatically better engineer over the last 2–3 years, and you have the projects to show it, we want to hear from you. **Based in Israel, working hybrid from our Tel Aviv office.** ## Why this role - Own a whole area. Knowledge pipelines, agents or evals, end to end, not one slice of a large platform. - See your impact fast. What you ship reaches technicians and service agents at enterprise customers within weeks. - Work on hard, real data. Messy manuals, tickets and work orders, where a wrong answer has real consequences. - Join an AI-native team today. Agents already run in our daily engineering work, and you'll help build the next ones. ## What you'll build and own - Knowledge pipelines. Turn manuals, tickets and work orders into trusted knowledge that powers chat and text experiences, with voice and video on the roadmap. - Production AI agents. Build multi-step agents that use tools and APIs, handle failures gracefully, and balance reliability, speed and cost. - Measurable AI. Build automated evals, define success metrics, and catch regressions before they reach production. - Real business problems. Understand customer workflows, find what's worth automating, and deliver it with product and customer-facing teams. - Security by design. Protect customer data, prevent cross-customer exposure and prompt injection, and keep agent tool use safe. - How we build. Share what works, build tools and agents the team adopts, and help raise the bar for AI-native engineering. - Outcomes, not just code. Drive solutions from design to production, and keep improving them once they're live. ## Requirements - A hands-on developer with a steep growth curve. Ideally 5+ years of development experience, but what you can build matters more than how long you've been building. - AI-native in practice. AI is part of how you plan, build, test and review, and you know when its output isn't good enough. - Agents in production. You've built agents that call tools and APIs, and you know what it takes to keep them reliable, fast and affordable. - You measure AI quality. You've built evals, defined success metrics and used them to decide what ships. - Real problems, real results. You've turned a complex workflow into an AI-powered solution and can show measurable impact. - Solid backend engineering. Production services and pipelines in Python, TypeScript, Go, C#, Java or similar. - Ownership and clear communication. You take initiative, see things through to production, and explain AI behaviour clearly to product, CS and customers. ## ## Nice to have - RAG, data ingestion, retrieval and reranking. - A security background: secure coding, OWASP (including the LLM Top 10), threat modelling. - LLM data pipelines: labelling, classification or extraction at scale. - Experience in DevOps, QA, data or support roles alongside development. - Enterprise B2B experience, especially working directly with customers or customer-facing teams. **It's not enough to have a cool product; join us because you share our values:** These guiding values inspire every Aquant employee.
