### About the Role A Series A fintech company is looking for a **Senior Android Software Engineer** to join a product-focused team building consumer financial products. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and business leaders to craft high-quality mobile experiences, leveraging multiple datasets to drive clear objectives. This role offers meaningful impact on product direction and user happiness through pragmatic problem solving and cross-functional collaboration. ### What You'll Do - Design, implement, and maintain a core consumer-facing Android application - Assist in building and scaling platform infrastructure - Pragmatically solve complex technical and product problems - Contribute to product design decisions and overall direction - Communicate and collaborate effectively across engineering, product, and business teams - Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers on the Android team ### What We're Looking For **Required:** - 2+ years of experience in mobile engineering - Strong Kotlin expertise with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture (MVVM / Clean Architecture) - Hands-on experience building and shipping consumer-facing mobile apps (B2C experience is a must) - Experience with backend data formats and APIs common in mobile apps, including protobufs, REST, and gRPC - Experience integrating Firebase services (Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Messaging) - Proficiency with Android testing strategies (unit and instrumentation/UI tests) and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for mobile - Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration with product, engineering, and business stakeholders **Nice to Have:** - Mentorship or technical leadership experience guiding junior mobile engineers ### Tech Stack - Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Firebase, Dagger Hilt DI, GCP, Go, Protobufs, BigQuery, MySQL ### Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: **$160,000 – $200,000 USD annually** - Visa sponsorship available ### Location This is an **on-site** role based in **San Francisco, CA**.
