Senior Brand Designer

Job description

At Yondr, we believe in the power of presence. Our mission is to create phone-free spaces that deepen human connection and elevate shared experiences. We partner with artists, educators, and visionaries to design environments that put people, not devices, at the center. Yondr’s business segments span numerous industries, primarily across education and live events. Yondr supports schools through cell phone-free programs. Our education programs facilitate the successful implementation of phone-free school environments by providing administrators and teachers with education, training, and development resources, along with all necessary equipment. In addition, Yondr supports top artists in music and comedy by creating phone-free shows, allowing performers and audience members to enjoy live performances without the distraction of phones. **ROLE SUMMARY** The Senior Brand Designer is Yondr's lead hands-on designer, responsible for building full creative suites: the complete, connected set of designs for each campaign or launch, from social posts, ads, and emails to print materials, packaging, branded gear, the Yondr website, and customer-facing digital tools like the Yondr Hub. This is a hands-on design role with no direct reports. The Senior Brand Designer takes direction from the VP of Brand and Communications and works closely with the Marketing, Demand Generation, Communications, Product, Sales, and External Affairs teams. **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES** **1. Full Creative Suites: Concept to Delivery** - Build full creative suites for each campaign or launch, starting from one strong idea and carrying it through every piece so the work looks and feels connected wherever people see it. - Turn requests from Brand, Marketing, and Communications into design ideas, share early concepts for feedback, and take the chosen direction through to finished files. - Resize and adapt designs for every place they will appear, including digital ads, social media, email, web pages, print, and billboards, while keeping the quality and message consistent. - Hand off organized, clearly labeled files and simple usage notes so other teams can launch and reuse the work without coming back for more design help. **2. Digital Campaigns, Web & Demand Generation** - Design digital ads, emails, landing pages, and other materials that help the Demand Generation team bring in new leads and turn interest into customers. - Own the look and feel of the Yondr website, designing new pages, refreshing existing ones, and keeping the site current and on-brand. - Design screens, graphics, and visual updates for customer-facing digital tools like the Yondr Hub, so customers have a clear, consistent experience everywhere they interact with Yondr. - Work closely with web developers and product teams to hand off designs, review what gets built, and make sure the live version matches the design. **3. Product Rollouts, Brand Assets & Content** - Design the materials that go out when Yondr is set up at a school, venue, or event, such as signage, posters, how-to graphics, and branded Yondr gear, so the experience feels polished from day one. - Design presentations, sales materials, flyers, reports, and social media posts, including speaking decks, reports, and policy materials for leadership and External Affairs. - Build and update brand templates and the image library so other teams can quickly make on-brand materials on their own. - Plan and direct photo and video shoots, from deciding what to capture to working with photographers and editors on the final version. **4. Collaboration, Production & Brand Standards** - Give clear direction to freelancers, photographers, printers, and other vendors, set timelines, and check their work for quality before it goes out. - Keep track of design requests and priorities, set realistic timelines, and keep partners updated so both big projects and quick asks get done on time. - Make sure everything Yondr puts out follows the brand guidelines, and help other teams understand and use them correctly. - Take direction from the VP of Brand and Communications, who sets brand strategy and messaging, and bring fresh design ideas that keep the brand looking its best. **EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS** **Required Experience** - 5-7 years of hands-on experience as a graphic or brand designer, in-house or at an agency. - A strong portfolio that leads with full creative suites designed from start to finish, plus website, digital, social media, and print work. - Expert in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and Canva. - Experience designing websites, landing pages, emails, digital ads, or app and platform screens, and handing designs off to developers. - Experience preparing files for print and working with printers and other vendors. - A strong eye for layout, typography, color, and photography. - Able to manage many projects at once, meet deadlines, and clearly explain design choices. - Bachelor's degree in design or a related field, or equivalent work experience. **Preferred Experience** - Experience directing photo or video shoots. - Motion graphics or video editing skills, such as After Effects or Premiere Pro. - Experience designing for demand generation campaigns, and with website builders or content management systems. - Experience designing branded gear, signage, packaging, or event materials. - Experience at a fast-growing, mission-driven consumer or education brand. - Familiarity with AI design tools and how to use them responsibly within brand guidelines. **YONDR BENEFITS** - 100% paid medical coverage plan option for employees and access to 15+ plan types, including PPO, HMO and HDHP - Dental and vision and ancillary benefits such as short-term disability, long-term disability and life insurance - Generous PTO for rest and recharge throughout the year - 12 weeks of paid parental leave - 1 week paid holiday break at the end of December, for a company-wide closure + 11 additional nationally recognized holidays - 401(k) offering - Tech tool preference, including choice of PC or Mac. - Hybrid employees receive catered lunch twice a week *Yondr is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate in its hiring of employees based on race, religion, gender, or sexual orientation.*
