Senior Developer Community Manager

Job description

**Overview** At Microsoft, we’re building a modern, AI-forward marketing organization that learns faster, activates smarter, and drives measurable impact. Our approach blends human creativity with AI-powered insights to fuel bold, culturally inspired creative strategies at scale. We prioritize outcomes over outputs, embrace rapid learning loops, and operate in agile flight formations that unite disciplines across Commercial Brand, Creative, and Customer Marketing. The Senior Developer Community Manager sits at the intersection of community, creators, culture, and technology. As AI transforms how people create, learn, and discover information, authentic human connection is becoming increasingly valuable. The communities people join, the creators they trust, and the experiences they participate in are shaping how new technologies are adopted and understood. At Microsoft, we have something most brands spend years trying to build: passionate communities of people who genuinely love our products. They create content, build businesses, teach others, organize events, and inspire millions through their work. The Creator & Fandom team exists to help those communities grow and thrive. You'll join the Community Team within Creator & Fandom, helping strengthen Microsoft's relationships with content creators across the ecosystem - developers, founders, startups, MVPs, and community leaders. This role is focused on identifying emerging voices, cultivating meaningful relationships, building community-driven programs, and helping technical creators become advocates of Microsoft’s products. This is not a Developer Relations role. Rather than focusing on product evangelism, this role sits within Microsoft's marketing organization and is focused on community building with developer and technical creators to drive advocacy and authentic storytelling. You'll work across Creator Strategy, Community, Creative, and Product Marketing to activate programs, events, creator partnerships, and experiences that connect Microsoft with the people shaping technology culture today. If you're energized by technical communities, internet culture, startup ecosystems, creators, live experiences, and the future of AI, you'll find a home here. At Microsoft, our mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more guides how we partner with customers to deliver trusted, impactful solutions. With a growth‑mindset culture, we innovate responsibly and measure success by shared progress, people, teams, and customers. Join us to do meaningful work that changes the world and helps shape what's next for everyone. You’ll join the Community Team within Creator & Fandom, the team behind programs including the Microsoft Excel World Championship (yes, the one broadcast on ESPN8: The Ocho), Microsoft’s global gaming and esports community initiatives, the MVP program, influencer marketing partnerships and programs, and Community Stories that spotlight people doing remarkable things with Microsoft technology. This isn’t a role where you’ll spend months taking notes from the sidelines. You’ll quickly take ownership of real programs that reach global audiences, collaborate with teams across Microsoft, and help shape the future of how one of the world’s most iconic technology companies engages with creators, fans, and communities. If you’re excited by internet culture, creators, gaming, social platforms, live events, online communities, and the future of AI, you’ll find a home here. At Microsoft, our mission to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more guides how we partner with customers to deliver trusted, impactful solutions. With a growth‑mindset culture, we innovate responsibly and measure success by shared progress, people, teams, and customers.
