We are seeking an experienced **Senior Electrical Engineer** to join our growing **Municipal Infrastructure team**. This role is ideal for an engineer who takes pride in delivering high-quality design solutions that directly support communities through public infrastructure and building projects. In this position, you will play a key role in shaping electrical designs for municipal facilities and infrastructure while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and project managers. You will also have the opportunity to **mentor emerging engineers, contribute technical leadership to complex projects, and work closely with municipal clients to bring practical solutions from concept through construction.** If you enjoy seeing your work move from design to real-world implementation—and want to be part of a team that values collaboration, quality, and long-term client partnerships—this is an excellent opportunity. ### Responsibilities - Lead and perform electrical design for **municipal infrastructure and facility projects**, working both independently and as a technical leader within project teams - Develop engineering deliverables including **design calculations, construction drawings, cost estimates, and bills of material** - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop **coordinated and constructible design packages** - Participate in **client meetings and technical discussions** to understand project needs, address challenges, and deliver effective engineering solutions - Provide **technical guidance and mentorship** to junior engineers and designers, supporting their professional development - Review and quality-check design drawings to ensure **technical accuracy, code compliance, and alignment with client standards** - Support project execution by helping maintain **scope, schedule, and budget alignment** throughout the design process ### Qualifications - **6+ years of experience** in electrical engineering design, drafting, or related technical roles - **Professional Engineer (PE) license strongly preferred** - Strong proficiency with **Revit** for electrical modeling and design development - Working knowledge of **AutoCAD or MicroStation** - Strong understanding of **National Electrical Code (NEC)** requirements - Working knowledge of relevant codes and standards including: - **NFPA 72, 101, and 110** - **International Building Code (IBC)** - **Energy codes and lighting standards** - Experience with **lighting design tools such as DIALux or AGi32** - Strong attention to detail with excellent **documentation and organizational skills** - Exceptional **communication and interpersonal skills**, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with clients - Must be authorized to work in the **United States without sponsorship now or in the future**
