What You Will Do Pratt & Whitney Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) is a dynamic engineering organization focused on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation and engine and flight test support. The CDS organization is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented, and results driven Senior Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization. The qualified candidate will be responsible for: Develop and/or lead support software tool development in a DevSecOps pipeline Participate in and/or lead process improvements Perform trade studies and analyze solutions Develop and/or lead software requirements and designs within the Agile Framework Perform and/or lead software verification within the Agile Framework Participate in and/or lead Agile ceremonies Participate in software planning, estimating and tracking per Agile framework Potential to serve as Agile Scrum Master, Product Owner, Product Manager, and/or part of the development team What You Will Learn As a member of a dynamic engineering organization, this position offers the candidate an excellent opportunity to apply multidisciplinary engineering and leadership skills in the development and support of complex engine control and diagnostic systems and software. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) 5 years of engineering experience, or an Advanced Degree and 3 years’ experience. Qualifications We Prefer Solid track record of achieving results in a technical role Ability to work in a dynamic, high pressure engineering environment Prior experience developing software in an Agile framework Proficient in at least one scripting or embedded code language Matlab/Simulink experience Prior safety critical software development experience Knowledge of regulatory standards such as DO178B Outstanding cross discipline communication skills Familiarity with jet engine control and diagnostic system architectures and control logic design Experience delivering DevSecOps , or automation , or AI solutions Proficient in at least on scripting or embedded code language Model Based System or Software engineering experience Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or Azure What We Offer Benefits Relocation Assistance Learn More & Apply Now! The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
