Senior Engineer, Salesforce

Job description

**Powering Great Work** We started as the place to find a trusted trade. Now, as we shape the future of home improvement, we're building the tech to transform that landscape for everyone - better products, smarter data, AI where it actually helps - so trades can spend less time on admin and consumers can find someone they trust, first time. That's Powering Great Work, and it's why every team here exists: 🔧 Trades spend less time on admin and more on winning work and growing their business 🏠 Homeowners get a trusted trade, first time, every time 🚀 We get to build products that change homes and lives across the country You'll sit in Enterprise Engineering, the team that owns our Salesforce org, the critical workflows inside it and the way Salesforce plugs into the rest of our stack. Salesforce is your home turf, but you're almost as happy wiring up TypeScript services beyond it. Do it well and our teams get systems that work together, so tradespeople and homeowners get a smoother experience. **The job, unfiltered:** - Design, build and maintain solutions across Apex, LWC and advanced declarative features, mainly in Sales and Service Cloud, plus Zuora, Retool, Braze CRM and Node/TypeScript services on Kubernetes on GCP. - Use AI coding tools with confidence to move faster without cutting corners on quality. - Architect secure, scalable integrations between Salesforce and our other core services, including inbound and outbound REST APIs and platform event-driven workflows. - Work alongside distributed engineering and data teams to keep data flowing cleanly and the architecture cohesive, bringing your Salesforce knowledge into the wider engineering conversation. - Own and improve the deployment pipelines across Salesforce and other services, so releases to production are smooth, automated and reliable. - Champion code quality: write thorough tests, run solid code reviews and help others get the best out of AI-assisted development. **The fit:** - Solid, hands-on professional software engineering experience, including strong Salesforce development across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Salesforce DevOps. - A track record of clean, asynchronous Apex (triggers, batch, queueable), responsive LWC components and complex Flows, backed by solid engineering skills beyond the platform. - A genuine handle on AI-driven coding: you know how to give AI models the right architectural context, schemas and constraints to get accurate, secure, production-ready code back. - Hands-on experience with enterprise integration patterns (large data volumes, platform events, API error handling). - Experience managing CI/CD pipelines, change management and environment refreshes. *(Don't self-select out because you don't tick every box. We'd rather meet you.)* **What you get** 💰 Competitive salary, annual bonus & equity scheme 🩺 Health, wellbeing and learning support 🚲 Gym membership, Smart Tech Scheme, Cycle Scheme 🎂 Birthday/special day leave, buy & sell holiday scheme ❤️ 1 week's paid charity leave, and more **How this goes** - Screening call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners - First stage interview with the Director of Engineering - Second stage interview with a Staff Engineer and a Senior Salesforce Engineer - Final stage interview with a Product Manager Not this one?
