Senior Geologist -15 Years

Experience: Minimum 15 yearsQualification: Postgraduate degree in Geology or a closely related fieldKey Responsibilities* Conduct comprehensive studies of water sources, aquifers, and their contribution to lakes and surrounding ecosystems based on available reports and field investigations.* Analyze and prepare detailed geological profiles of lakes, catchment areas, and associated landforms.* Assess the geological stability of landmasses within the project area using existing studies, surveys, and field data.* Develop and maintain inventories of land use patterns based on geological and stability assessments.* Identify geological hazards and recommend mitigation measures for unstable landforms in coordination with relevant stakeholders.* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including tourism development, environmental, social, infrastructure, and planning experts.* Engage with government agencies, local communities, and other key stakeholders to gather data and support project implementation.* Support the preparation of master plans by integrating geological considerations into land-use and infrastructure planning.* Work closely with the Team Leader and Deputy Team Leader to ensure timely delivery of project objectives.* Contribute to technical reports, presentations, maps, and documentation related to geological assessments.Desired Skills and Competencies* Strong understanding of hydrogeology, geomorphology, land stability analysis, and environmental geology.* Experience in GIS applications, geological mapping, and interpretation of geospatial data.* Knowledge of watershed management, aquifer studies, and sustainable resource planning.* Excellent analytical, stakeholder management, and communication skills.* Proven experience in handling at least two master planning projects is preferred.Preferred Project Experience* Experience working on regional plans, master plans, tourism development projects, or environmental impact assessments.* Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and engage with diverse stakeholders.
