Senior Implementation Manager

## **🌐 Who We Are** Bankjoy is a Y Combinator and Bessemer Venture Partner backed FinTech startup. We are changing the way community banks and credit unions do business, enabling them to become tech-driven and digital first. Bankjoy provides modern digital banking products including mobile banking, online banking, online account opening, loan origination, and conversational AI. Our mission is to revolutionize banking tech infrastructure by leading digital transformation at financial institutions — big and small. ## **💼 The Role** We're hiring a Senior Implementation Manager to join our Implementation team, reporting to the Director of Implementation. You'll lead complex digital banking implementations, core migrations, and product expansions from discovery through go-live and stabilization. You'll own the delivery plan, align client and vendor responsibilities, resolve blockers, and keep stakeholders informed when scope, timing, or readiness changes. This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role with no direct reports. You'll configure and validate client environments, lead testing and launch preparation, and mentor Implementation Managers and Specialists. **🧠 What You’ll Do** - Own complex client implementations from sales handoff and discovery through configuration, testing, launch, stabilization, and transition to Support and Client Success. - Translate contracted scope into requirements, gap analysis, milestones, dependencies, owners, and acceptance criteria. Resolve gaps early and manage changes to scope and delivery commitments. - Lead kickoff meetings, working sessions, and client status calls. Explain product limitations and core-specific requirements clearly, including to nontechnical client teams. - Coordinate core providers, third-party vendors, Product, Engineering, QA, Operations, and implementation colleagues. Maintain accountability for each dependency and decision. - Configure and validate environments through Bankjoy's admin tools. Document client settings, integration prerequisites, data requirements, and known limitations. - Maintain Smartsheet plans and the Implementation Status sheet with current dates, owners, risks, decisions, and a written weekly status update. Escalate blockers with a proposed recovery plan. - Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), client training, and defect triage. Reproduce issues, distinguish configuration or data problems from defects, and give technical owners actionable evidence. - Coordinate cutover plans, readiness reviews, go/no-go recommendations, and rollback planning with technical owners. Confirm client sign-off and required approvals before launch. - Handle senior client escalations with clear facts, realistic options, and agreed next steps. Manage concurrent priorities while protecting delivery quality and client trust. - Lead post-launch stabilization and handoff, including configuration records, open issues, owners, and support expectations. Improve core-specific guides and templates, and mentor colleagues through complex delivery work. **🎯 What You Bring** - Banking or fintech experience is required. You understand accounts, transfers, limits, digital banking workflows, and the operating needs of credit unions or banks. - 5+ years in software implementation, client onboarding, or technical project management, with demonstrated ownership of complex financial institution projects from planning through launch. - Experience with a core banking system or digital banking platform, including hands-on configuration, integration dependencies, and technical troubleshooting. - A record of managing concurrent client projects, external vendors, scope changes, and delivery risks with clear ownership and current project records. - Practical experience with UAT, defect investigation, cutover planning, launch-readiness decisions, and post-launch stabilization. - Clear written and verbal communication, including difficult client conversations, executive updates, and explaining technical constraints without making unsupported commitments. - Experience mentoring colleagues and improving implementation processes. Comfort working in a lean team and doing configuration, documentation, and follow-up yourself. - Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, and Confluence or equivalents. Comfortable using company-approved AI tools for documentation and analysis while verifying outputs and following data-handling requirements. ## **🎁 What You Get** - A fast-paced and collaborative environment - Competitive compensation - Stock options at a well-funded startup - We cover 100% of medical, dental, and vision premiums for individuals on our base plan, with significant contributions toward all other plan options (USA). - We cover 100% of extended medical, dental, and vision premiums for you and your family under our single, comprehensive plan (Canada). - Retirement plan with 4% company matching - 8 weeks paid parental leave for birthing parents, 4 weeks for non-birthing - 3-5 weeks PTO depending on tenure - 5 health days - 15 holidays - End of year shutdown - Performance-based bonuses - Remote first culture **⚖️ Equal Employment Opportunities at Bankjoy** Bankjoy is committed to hiring talented and qualified individuals with diverse backgrounds for all of its tech, non-tech, and leadership roles.
