Senior Industrial Engineer

Job description

Pivotal is the leader in the emerging market of electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. We design, develop, and manufacture light eVTOL aircraft and are renowned for the BlackFly aircraft the world's first light eVTOL to fly manned missions and enter the consumer market. Efficient, compact, and simple, Pivotal aircraft are designed for a wide range of consumer, public service, and defense applications. Our distinctive tilt-aircraft architecture and scalable platform have been flying for over 10 years. Last year we announced our next-generation aircraft, the Helix, which is rapidly progressing toward general release and scalable production in 2026. Mobility is one of the most highly-valued areas of modern technology investments. This is the right company, in the right space, the right strategy, at the right time. If you are ready for adventure, we invite you to join our amazing team and grow with us. ### Summary: The Senior Industrial Engineer will lead the development and optimization of manufacturing systems, production layouts, and operational workflows supporting both R&D and production of eVTOL aircraft. This role is responsible for designing scalable factory layouts, defining production stations, developing takt and cycle time strategies, and driving manufacturing efficiency as Pivotal transitions from prototype builds to commercial production. You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Production, Supply Chain, Facilities, Design Engineering, Quality, and Program Management to establish world-class manufacturing operations capable of supporting rapid growth and production scaling. This includes ownership of production flow analysis, workstation design, line balancing, labor planning, material presentation strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives across the factory. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in aerospace, automotive, or advanced manufacturing environments and thrives in fast-paced startup settings where ambiguity, rapid iteration, and hands-on problem solving are part of daily operations. If building production systems from the ground up, optimizing factory performance, and helping shape the future of aviation excites you, this is the role for you. ### Responsibilities: **Manufacturing Layout & Factory Design** -
