Architect and scale the cloud platform behind a mission-critical SaaS product used globally. Own infrastructure strategy, reliability, and automation while influencing engineering at scale, reporting to the Cloud DevOps Team Leader. ### About Innocraft & Matomo Matomo is an open-source analytics platform trusted by enterprises, public institutions, and governments requiring full data ownership. We’re looking for a Senior Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our cloud platform—driving architecture, reliability, and operational excellence at scale. ### Why This Role - Own architecture and long-term evolution of a business-critical SaaS platform - Drive decisions that directly impact uptime, scalability, and security - High autonomy with real influence on engineering and platform direction - Stable, mature product with strong engineering foundations - Work cross-functionally across engineering, product, and security ### What You'll Own **Platform Architecture & Strategy** - Architect and evolve scalable, secure cloud infrastructure - Define infrastructure standards and long-term technical direction - Drive cost optimisation and performance improvements **Reliability & Operations** - Own uptime, SLAs, and incident management practices - Lead post-incident reviews and systemic improvements - Define monitoring, alerting, and observability strategy **Automation & Engineering Enablement** - Lead Infrastructure as Code maturity and governance - Improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability - Enable engineering teams through better tooling and platform capabilities ### What You'll Bring **Must-haves** - 5–8+ years in DevOps, SRE, or infrastructure engineering - Deep AWS and cloud architecture expertise - Strong Infrastructure as Code experience - Proven ownership of complex, production systems - Strong systems thinking and problem-solving ability - Ability to influence teams and drive technical decisions **Strong signals** - Kubernetes and container platforms at scale - Experience with high-availability SaaS products - Exposure to compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2) - Experience mentoring engineers and shaping practices ### Benefits - 100% remote role **(Must be based in Germany)** - 30 days paid holiday + national public holidays - Remote office budget + home equipment supplied - Health insurance, mental health support and a volunteering day - Annual learning budget ### Location 100% remote — Germany only. ### Career Trajectory Within 12–24 months, you will expand ownership across platform architecture, influence company-wide engineering practices, and progress toward Staff/Principal-level leadership with broader technical direction and mentorship scope. ### Diversity & Inclusion InnoCraft (trading as Matomo) values what makes you unique.
