Senior Key Account Manager (Hong Kong)

Job description

**Please note that we will only be able to accept candidates who have the appropriate rights and documentation for employment in Malaysia.** **Who We Are.** Axi is a leading global provider of margin and deliverable Foreign Exchange, Contracts for Difference (CFDs), and Financial Spread betting. Our business has evolved into a world-class, multifaceted brokerage with offices in six regions. With heavy investment in the latest trading technology, Axi seeks to offer the most comprehensive end-to-end trading experience available, servicing traders of all levels from beginners to institutional-level clients. **Let's talk about the cool stuff you will do at Axi!** The Hong Kong market is one of the most sophisticated trading audiences in the world — and Axi is building the right team to meet it head-on. This role exists to close the gap between Axi's global product suite and the elevated expectations of HNW clients and institutional-grade IBs across HK, TW, and CN. If you have deep roots in the local CFD, crypto, or US equity space and a proven book of relationships, this is your opportunity to build something meaningful in a market that rewards conviction and expertise. **Your EDGE Assignment/You Will** - Own the full HNW client lifecycle across the HK/TW/CN region — from acquisition through to retention and portfolio growth. - Build and expand a high-quality IB network, converting established relationships into structured, revenue-generating partnerships. - Drive net deposit growth across your assigned book, maintaining healthy profit margins and tracking performance against clear quarterly targets. - Manage client and partner relationships directly on MT4/MT5, ensuring seamless onboarding and a frictionless trading experience. - Design and execute market-specific business plans each quarter, aligning product positioning with the expectations of sophisticated local clients across CFD, crypto perpetuals, and US equities. - Identify and close gaps between Axi's global offering and HK market demand — feeding structured feedback to the product and IB teams. - Handle escalations from HNW clients and IB partners in line with internal compliance frameworks, delivering timely and commercially sound resolutions. - Collaborate with trade marketing and the IB product team to deploy campaigns and initiatives that activate dormant partners and grow active client numbers. **Are you the one?** - 5–8 years of experience in a client-facing sales or account management role within CFD, crypto, or financial markets — with demonstrable exposure to HNW client segments. - Fluent in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin), with the ability to build trust and negotiate effectively with sophisticated clients in both languages. - Hands-on experience operating and supporting clients on MT4 and MT5 platforms. - Deep knowledge of CFD products, crypto perpetuals, and US equity markets — enough to hold a credible conversation with experienced traders and institutional partners. - A track record of delivering consistent net deposit growth and maintaining a healthy, active client base across a defined territory. - An existing IB or partner network across HK, TW, or CN is a strong plus — and will meaningfully accelerate your impact in this role. - Background sourced from Web3, crypto derivatives, or multi-asset CFD brokerages is preferred. - Commercially sharp, with the discipline to plan a quarter ahead and the adaptability to execute when the market shifts. - Driven by outcomes, not activity — you measure your own success by what your book produces, not how busy you look. **Axi's bag of delights** - Competitive and attractive compensation. - Extensive learning opportunities, such as professional training and certifications and soft skills development. - 21 annual leave days per year. - Health Insurance - Quarterly allowance benefit giving flexibility to choose how to support your health and lifestyle **Axi's interview journey** - Talent Acquisition Interview (45 minutes) - Final Interview (60 minutes) We want to inform all prospective candidates that Axi's designated Employer of Records (EOR) in Malaysia is TDCX. As part of our commitment to legal compliance, all Axi Malaysia employees will be officially working under TDCX Malaysia. Please note that our organization works with recruitment agencies on a pre-approved basis only. A recruitment agency that wishes to submit candidate profiles or resumes for consideration must obtain prior written consent from our talent acquisition team. We do not accept unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies, and we will not be responsible for any fees related to unsolicited resumes. Should we receive an unsolicited resume from a recruitment agency that does not have prior written consent, we will not be responsible for the payment of any fees related to the recruitment of the candidate represented in the unsolicited resume. At Axi, we prioritize creating a workplace that upholds fairness and respect for all. We encourage every individual within our community to contribute towards a culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging and is treated with the dignity they deserve. We make all employment-related decisions—whether in hiring, compensation, training, performance reviews, or termination—based on merit and without bias, ensuring equal opportunities for everyone. We consciously work to identify and overcome any unconscious biases, with a commitment to fostering an inclusive environment where every employee and candidate feels genuinely welcomed and valued.
