Senior Legal & Compliance Specialist

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Legal & Compliance Specialist to strengthen the Group’s compliance framework while also providing broad legal support across business, commercial, healthcare, and regulatory matters. This is a hands-on role for a senior professional who can build structure, improve internal controls, support business growth, and help ensure that operations are aligned with applicable legal and compliance requirements. Tasks Key Responsibilities Lead the development and continuous improvement of the Group’s compliance framework, internal policies, procedures, and controls Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards across the business, including GDPR, IVDR, ISO-related requirements, healthcare-related rules, and broader corporate compliance obligations Provide practical legal support on commercial, corporate, operational, and healthcare-related matters Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, partnership agreements, and other business documentation Identify compliance and legal risks, recommend mitigation measures, and support strong governance and decision-making Advise cross-functional teams on compliance, legal, regulatory, and business matters to enable compliant growth Support product, operational, and market activities to ensure alignment with legal and compliance requirements Coordinate with external legal counsel, auditors, certification bodies, and regulatory stakeholders Requirements Qualifications University degree in Law (LL.B., LL.M., or equivalent) 10+ years of experience in compliance and legal roles, ideally in Biotech, Pharma, MedTech, Life Sciences, healthcare, or another regulated industry Strong understanding of compliance systems, business law, commercial contracts, regulatory frameworks, and healthcare-related legal requirements Solid knowledge of GDPR, IVDR, ISO-related compliance standards, and broader legal/compliance governance Hands-on, structured, pragmatic, and business-oriented approach Strong communication, drafting, and stakeholder management skills Professional fluency in English and Slovenian Benefits What We Offer A high-impact role with broad ownership across compliance, legal, and regulatory matters The opportunity to shape and build a scalable, business-oriented compliance function Close collaboration with senior leadership in an international and regulated environment
