Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Job description

## About this role We're looking for a hands-on **Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager** to build from the ground up and own the full lifecycle of patient communications — from the moment someone considers enrolling, through their ongoing care, through re-engagement if they disconnect from care. Lifecycle communications are one of the highest-leverage tools we have to sustain relationships with our patients, and today that program is in its early innings. You'll be the dedicated owner: setting the strategy, building the campaigns that execute it, and defining the KPIs that tell us whether it's working. You'll build and optimize the automations that drive activation and retention. You'll be deeply data-driven, detail-oriented, and comfortable owning KPIs, creatively navigating a regulated healthcare environment where clarity and compliance matter as much as clever copy. ## **About Boulder** Boulder Care is an award-winning digital clinic for addiction medicine, recognized for both innovation and high-quality patient care. Founded in 2017 by CEO Stephanie Strong, our mission is to improve the lives of people with substance use disorders through compassionate, evidence-based care. We provide Boulder patients with a fully virtual, multidisciplinary care team—including medical providers and peer recovery specialists—who deliver personalized treatment, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and ongoing support. Our approach is grounded in clinical excellence, patient-centered care, and a commitment to reducing barriers to recovery. Boulder partners with leading health plans, employers, and community organizations to ensure that our services are accessible and covered for the people who need them most. Named by Fortune as one of the Best Workplaces in Healthcare, Boulder fosters a culture of kindness, respect, and meaningful work that delivers outstanding patient outcomes and moves the addiction medicine industry forward. ## **Responsibilities** ### **Lifecycle Communications** - **Own the patient lifecycle end to end.** Manage pre-enrollment, retention, and post-churn re-engagement automations end-to-end in our communications tool, with defined activation KPIs for each program. - **Tackle the highest-friction moments in the patient journey.** Focus near-term investment where drop-off is steepest and personalization has the most leverage, from pre-enrollment hesitation to patients who have fallen out of care. - **Build it, don't just brief it.** Translate strategy into production-ready campaigns yourself: workflow configuration, audience segmentation, targeting logic, and message build. - **Elevate the transactional moments that matter most.** Elevate transactional communications tied to critical product moments — upcoming visits, in-app notices, assessment reminders, and similar triggers. Write and deploy one-off/broadcast communications for policy changes, feature launches, and other need-to-know moments. ### **Program Expansion** - **Test continuously, not occasionally.** Run continuous A/B testing across messaging, timing, and channels; turn results into a regular optimization cadence rather than one-off tests. - **Expand our channel mix to reach patients in new ways.** Evaluate, launch, and manage new patient communication channels (push, email, and others as we grow), with a clear point of view on what each channel is for and when to use it. Set channel cadence and governance to protect against patient fatigue and channel overlap. - **Use AI to run a leaner, faster program.** Apply AI across the day-to-day mechanics of the role — campaign QA, segment definitions, briefs, reporting, analysis — so more of your time goes to strategy and higher-leverage work. ### **Content Management & Configuration** - **Turn content into a cornerstone of our engagement program.** Project-manage development of multimedia app content in partnership with the Content team, own the configuration of that content in our CMS, and track engagement and feed learnings back into the roadmap. Pair content with communications to deliver the most value to patients. - **Build check-ins that support patient and compliance needs.** Project-manage the build and iteration of patient-facing assessments, in support of care delivery, compliance, and payer reporting needs. - **Own how new features land.** Optimize rollout and adoption strategy for new product features — messaging, campaign support, and adoption metrics. ## Qualifications - 4+ years in lifecycle marketing. - Hands-on ownership of Braze or a comparable communications/CRM platform — this is a builder role, not just a strategy role. - Experience building a lifecycle marketing function from the ground up—you'll be the dedicated owner here, and you'll define your own roadmap. - A track record of setting and being accountable to activation or retention KPIs, and of explaining the "why" behind a result rather than only reporting it. - Healthcare, regulated industry, or other compliance-sensitive experience is a strong plus given the payer-reporting and clinical context. - Experience in product marketing or content marketing is a strong plus. ## **Work environment** - Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time. - Office requirements: Boulder teammates working with sensitive information must have a dedicated, private workspace with a lockable door and high-speed internet to maintain a secure, distraction-free environment, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality standards. - Boulder Care employees are free to use our riverfront HQ located in Portland, OR whenever they would like. ## **Expected hours of work** This is a **full-time, 100% remote** position expected to work 40 hours Monday through Friday during standard business hours. ## **Compensation** The starting pay range for this position is **$140,000–$155,000**; base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave). ## **Perks and benefits** - Contribute to meaningful, life-saving work! - Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and short-term disability benefits designed to take care of our employees and their families - Mental health services via insurance coverage, including Talkspace and EAP for continuous care - 4 weeks of vacation accrued per calendar year with a tenured increase to 5 weeks at 2 years of employment - Sick leave accrued at 1 hr for every 30 hrs paid - 9 paid holidays per year - 12 weeks of 100% paid parental leave for the birth or adoption of a child (after 6 months of employment) - 401(k) retirement savings - Remote-friendly with hardware provided to complete your work duties ## **Our values** - Patients always come first - Our opportunity is also our duty - Move the industry forward, follow the data - Facts to change minds, empathy to change hearts - Turn bold ideas into even bolder action - Strong individuals, stronger together - Boulder Care recognizes the value that **lived experience** can provide to our organization, community, and patients. Applicants with lived experience and/or training as a peer recovery specialist are encouraged to apply. *Boulder Care believes the people who manage our product and team should be representative of those who use the platform.
