Senior Live Entertainment Producer

Job description

Join us in creating live experiences at some of Stockholm's most iconic venues. We are looking for a Senior Live Entertainment Producer to take a central role in bringing selected live entertainment projects to life at Cirkus Arena and Gasometer. With us, you will work closely with both the creative idea and its practical delivery. You will be the person who holds the production together from the moment a project is confirmed until the audience leaves the venue, with responsibility for planning, coordination, budget, quality and execution. This is a role for someone with experience in live production who enjoys moving between artists, promoters, technical teams, internal functions and external partners. You have the ability to understand the creative ambition, translate it into a workable production plan and ensure that every project is delivered to a high standard. About the role As Senior Live Entertainment Producer, you are the operational link between programming, production and delivery. You take responsibility for selected live entertainment projects and make sure that the artistic and commercial intent behind each booking is carried all the way through to delivery. You will work with concerts, stage productions, special formats and other live experiences, both in collaboration with external promoters and artists and in the form of our own concepts and events that we initiate ourselves. An important part of the role will be contributing to the establishment of Gasometer, while also helping to develop ways of working, processes and collaboration across our internal teams. What you will be doing In this role, you are responsible for driving and coordinating assigned productions from planning through to delivery. You keep the bigger picture together, create structure, move the process forward and ensure that all parties have what they need in order to deliver. Among other things, you will: Take production ownership of selected live entertainment projects, from confirmed booking through to the completed event Lead production planning, scheduling, coordination and follow-up for assigned projects Take responsibility for the production budget within an agreed mandate and ensure that projects are delivered within the approved framework Act as the main production contact for artists, promoters, artist management, tour managers, production managers and external production teams Work closely with internal teams such as programming, operations, technical and sales Ensure that creative ambitions, technical requirements, operational conditions and commercial objectives are balanced throughout the production Coordinate technical production matters together with internal specialists and external suppliers within areas such as sound, lighting, AV, staging and rigging Be present during relevant production periods, rehearsals and events Identify risks, resolve production-related challenges and ensure that delivery meets the required standard Produce selected in-house events, formats and concepts initiated by Miramis Contribute to the development of clear processes and ways of working within your own area of responsibility Who we are looking for We are looking for someone with a solid grounding in live production, who knows what it takes to move a project from idea or booking through to a finished live experience. You have most likely worked as a producer, production manager, project manager or in a similar role within live music, theatre, musicals, festivals, venues or another relevant live entertainment environment. You do not need to be a technical specialist, but you have enough technical understanding to hold professional conversations with technical teams and suppliers. You understand how sound, lighting, staging, AV, rigging, logistics, rehearsals and audience flows affect the whole, and you have the judgement to know when the right expertise needs to be brought in. We would like you to have: Approximately 3–5 years of relevant experience within live entertainment, live music, theatre, musicals, touring, festivals, venue operations or comparable production Hands-on experience of producing and delivering live events Experience of coordinating multiple stakeholders in complex production environments Experience of working directly with artists, artist management, promoters, tour managers, production teams and/or technical suppliers A good understanding of production economics, budget management and resource planning An understanding of contracts, rights, supplier discussions and production-related negotiations A good technical understanding of live production, even if you are not a technical specialist yourself The ability to communicate fluently in Swedish and English in professional contexts An established network within the live entertainment industry is a strong advantage. On a personal level, you are driven and take natural ownership. You see what needs to be done, move the work forward and create confidence among both internal and external parties. You combine structure with flexibility, maintain a high standard even when solutions need to be found quickly, and are happy to handle both the strategic questions and the practical details when the situation calls for it. You thrive in environments where the pace is high, circumstances can change quickly and many different interests need to be brought together around a shared goal. You build trust both internally and externally, and you communicate clearly even when the pressure is on. Why this role matters Miramis is in an exciting phase of development. We want to strengthen the link between programming and delivery, take greater ownership of selected productions and build our capability to develop more of our own events and concepts. As Senior Live Entertainment Producer, you will be an important part of that journey. You will help raise the quality of our productions, build stronger partnerships with artists and partners, and ensure that both Cirkus Arena and Gasometer continue to be venues for live experiences of a high standard, with a clear identity and international relevance. About the position This is a full-time, permanent position with an initial six-month probationary period. You will be part of the programming department and report to the Head of Entertainment. We would like you to start as soon as possible and will agree the start date together with you. The role is based in Stockholm. Application The closing date for applications is 21 October. We review applications on an ongoing basis and may fill the position before the closing date. We would like your application to include a motivational statement describing what attracts you to the role. This replaces the traditional cover letter. You can either add the text directly to your CV or attach it under "Cover letter". We look forward to receiving your application. About Miramis Miramis is a group with hotels, restaurants and venues in Italy and Sweden. What we build is about experiences and meetings. We believe joy can arise in many different contexts: at a rock concert, during an evening walk, over a memorable dinner or in an unexpected encounter in a small fishing village. We grow by listening, to our guests and our colleagues, and by understanding the history and heritage of each place. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions. Every place, every guest and every day is unique. Today, Miramis owns five properties along the coast of southern Tuscany and owns or operates a further four in Stockholm. What unites them is their connection to place. Every project carries a social and cultural heritage that we build upon, with creative energy, contemporary design, local engagement and a sustainable approach to hospitality. For us, sustainability is a given and something we work on actively at every level. In 2022, together with our friends at Djurgården, we received the prestigious Green Destination Award from the organisation Green Destinations. This recognised the successful sustainability work carried out at Djurgården in areas including the environment and climate, culture and tradition, social sustainability and hospitality. We see this fine award as both a confirmation of our efforts and an inspiration to continue this important work going forward.
