# Senior Manager, Campaign and Product Marketing > veritree · Vancouver, Canada (Hybrid) · — · Posted 2026-09-12 **Salary:** CAD 110,000–135,000 **Workplace:** hybrid **Department:** Marketing ## Description **veritree and Role Overview** veritree is an award-winning climate tech start-up based in Vancouver. Launched in 2021, our technology measures and verifies the impact of global restoration efforts from the ground up. We are on a mission to plant 1 billion verified trees by 2030, collaborating with businesses, planting organizations, and consumers who believe in the transformative power of verified restoration projects to create real and meaningful impact for the planet, nature, and people. veritree is seeking a Senior Manager, Campaign & Product Marketing to own the story of what we sell and the engine that takes it to market. This is a product marketing role at its core. You will sit between the Forest team, who source, plant, and monitor our restoration projects, and every commercial motion at veritree. Your job is to take what Forest knows and turn it into positioning, narrative, and proof that our Sales, Business Development, and Customer Success teams can carry into the room and defend under scrutiny. Then you hand that story forward: to the campaign function to drive net-new acquisition, and to the co-marketing function to deepen and expand the partners we already have. This is a product marketing role at its core. You will sit between the Forest team, who source, plant, and monitor our restoration projects and every commercial motion at veritree. **Key Responsibilities** ### Product Marketing & Portfolio Positioning (~40%) - Own veritree's positioning, messaging, and value proposition architecture across the full solution portfolio - as a whole and by ecosystem package (mangrove, terrestrial, wildfire, agroforestry). - Own the segment and ICP messaging framework: who we sell to, what they care about, what changes their mind, and which project we lead with for which buyer. - Own the product catalogue and the commercial logic behind it, partnering with Revenue and Finance on per-project and per-package pricing guidance so reps understand not just the price but why the project is worth it. - Direct the Impact Solutions Engineer's work on the canonical project library, and hold the standard for what "sales-ready" means at the project level. You set the frame; they build and maintain the substance. - Own competitive and category positioning - how veritree is different from offsetting, from unverified planting, and from adjacent MRV and nature-tech players - and keep that current as the category moves. - Feed buyer and field insight back into Forest and Product, influencing which projects we source, how we describe them, and what our technology needs to capture next. ### The veritree Story (~30%) - Own the master narrative: the single and defensible account of what veritree does and why it matters, from which every campaign, deck, and pitch derives. - Build and evidence the impact story at three layers (the worker, the community, and the ecosystem) grounded in veritree's own monitoring data, field media, and verification methodology. - Own the claims standard and final sign-off across everything the team ships. You decide what the standard is and what does not pass it. You know the difference between a compelling claim and a defensible one, and you only ever ship the defensible one. - Set brand voice and the editorial bar for the team's output, and edit to it. Brand is not a separate workstream here, it is the connective tissue across product, campaign, and co-marketing. ### Campaign Marketing & Demand Generation (~30%) - Translate positioning into campaign direction and hand it to the campaign function: the angle, the audience, the offer, the proof, the message hierarchy. - Set the H1/H2 campaign narrative calendar against the AOP, key moments, and partner milestones, and hold the team to it. - Direct acquisition campaign concepts, launch campaigns, gated content and lead magnet themes, nurture logic, and ABM plays. - Own the quality bar on campaign creative and copy, and the post-campaign read: what landed, what didn't, and what that tells us about the positioning. - Partner closely with the Senior Growth Marketing Engineer, who owns targeting, bidding, scoring, and campaign tracking. You are not accountable for the pipeline number, but you are accountable for the readiness, quality, and coherence of everything that feeds it. ### Co-Marketing & Customer Expansion - Direct the co-marketing function's work with existing partners, case studies, joint announcements, partner impact narratives, award submissions, and activations with net revenue retention as the goal. - Make sure the expansion story is as well built as the acquisition story: what a partner's second and third year with veritree looks like, and the proof that makes renewal and expansion obvious. - Partner with Customer Success to identify which accounts are ready to be told publicly, and turn those stories into assets that serve both retention and acquisition. ### Sales Enablement - Turn Forest's methodologies such as survivability, planting hours, social impact, carbon, permanence, verification into defensible talk tracks and proof points. - Own the metric change-flow end to end, and the audit of them. Utilizing them accurately in Marketing decks, web, ABM, and partner assets; you set the cadence, hold the sign-off, and run the twice-yearly audit that confirms what is actually in the market is still true. - Design and deliver training so every AE, BDR, and CSM tells the same story. Measure adoption through call reviews, not assumption. - Step in as the senior narrative expert on live calls where a deal warrants. ### Launch Discipline - Own the definition of "ready to sell" and the cross-functional launch checklist that enforces it, across Forest, Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success. - Own the internal communication of what's new: what changed, what it means commercially, and what each team needs to do about it. - Own portfolio availability alongside the Impact Solutions Engineer. What's live, what's paused, and make sure the market-facing picture matches reality. ### Team Leadership - Lead, coach, and develop a team across product marketing, campaign, co-marketing, - Set priorities, hold the quality bar, and unblock. Run the intake and prioritization process for cross-functional content requests from Sales and CS so the team is working on the right things, not the loudest things. - Build the operating rhythm: planning cadence, review cycles, performance conversations, and clear ownership lines between your team and Growth, Events, and Product. **Key Outcomes** - **Master narrative:** Publish a documented veritree narrative and messaging architecture covering the master story, impact layers, ecosystem packages, and segment messaging; secure leadership sign-off within 90 days and have all outbound assets traceable to it by end of Q2. - **Thought leadership:** Publish at least 1 flagship white paper and 4 long-form points of view in the first 12 months, with Sales confirming use in live deals. - **Claims integrity:** Establish and enforce a claims review standard with zero unsupported public claims, maintaining and auditing the claims register twice yearly with Forest. - **Campaign direction:** Direct strategy and narrative for all acquisition campaigns through clear, approved briefs, with post-campaign reviews completed within 2 weeks of each launch. - **Campaign readiness:** Ensure every campaign has the positioning, proof points, product information, and assets needed before build begins, with no campaigns delayed by missing inputs. - **Segment play design:** Define segment-to-project matching logic and have it actively used by Sales and BDR by end of Q2. - **Sales-ready portfolio:** Deliver positioning, value propositions, proof points, pricing guidance, and customer-facing assets for 100% of active projects and ecosystem packages. - **Enablement that changes behaviour:** Deliver playbooks, proof-point libraries, objection handling, and training across Sales, BDR, and CS, with certification and adoption measured through call reviews. - **Launch readiness:** Establish and enforce a cross-functional launch checklist and readiness gate across Forest, Product, Marketing, Sales, and CS. - **Change-flow discipline:** Establish a correction cadence for metric updates and ensure changes are reflected across collateral, portal, and CS within one agreed cycle, with no stale figures identified in twice-yearly audits. ## Requirements Experience and Skills - Exceptional writing and storytelling ability. This is the core of the role. You can hold a room, and you can put the same idea on a page without it going flat. - 7–10+ years in product marketing, brand or content strategy, or a comparable narrative-led commercial role, with meaningful product marketing ownership. Adjacent backgrounds are welcome, such as journalism, documentary, science or impact communications, if you can show the commercial application. - 3+ years managing marketers, or clear evidence of leading and developing others. You know how to raise other people's output rather than rewriting it. - Track record of packaging complex or technical subject matter into positioning, narratives, and assets a sales team actually adopted - with evidence of adoption, not just delivery. - Demonstrated sales enablement experience: playbooks, proof-point libraries, training programs, and a way of measuring whether rep behaviour changed. - Real demand-generation fluency. You can brief, direct, and judge acquisition campaigns, gated content, nurture, and ABM, and you read performance well enough to know when a campaign underperformed because of the message rather than the media. You will not own the pipeline number, but you will be the reason the story behind it holds up. - Genuine appetite for technical and scientific subject matter and the discipline to represent it accurately. You do not need a forestry background, you need to be the kind of person who will go and learn it properly. - Experience owning cross-functional process. Launch checklists, readiness gates, intake-to-market workflows in an environment where that process didn't exist yet. - Fluency with HubSpot and enablement tooling, comfort with marketing analytics, and a builder's instinct for using AI to make knowledge accessible at the point of need. ### Nice to Haves (not mandatory) - Experience in tree planting, forestry, carbon markets, sustainability, or nature-based solutions. - Familiarity with ESG and nature reporting frameworks (CSRD, TNFD, SBTi, CDP). - Experience with MRV methodologies, remote sensing, or field data collection technology. - Background in social impact measurement or community development. - Experience building AI-assisted knowledge bases or enablement tooling for live call support. ## Benefits At veritree, we recognize that compensation and performance development are key to attracting and retaining top talent.
