Senior Manager, Fulfillment Operations (Pharmacy)

Job description

**Company Overview:**[Blink Health](https://www.blinkhealth.com/) is the fastest growing healthcare technology company that builds products to make prescriptions accessible and affordable to everybody. Our two primary products – BlinkRx and Quick Save – remove traditional roadblocks within the current prescription supply chain, resulting in better access to critical medications and improved health outcomes for patients. [BlinkRx](https://www.blinkhealth.com/blinkrx) is the world’s first pharma-to-patient cloud that offers a digital concierge service for patients who are prescribed branded medications. Patients benefit from transparent low prices, free home delivery, and world-class support on this first-of-its-kind centralized platform. With BlinkRx, never again will a patient show up at the pharmacy only to discover that they can’t afford their medication, their doctor needs to fill out a form for them, or the pharmacy doesn’t have the medication in stock. We are a highly collaborative team of builders and operators who invent new ways of working in an industry that historically has resisted innovation. Join us! **The Role:** We are seeking a results-driven and experienced operations leader to own the logistics and operational workflow execution of our mail order dispensing pharmacy. As Senior Manager, Fulfillment Operations, you will be responsible for the planning and oversight of facility layout, inventory movement, supply chain coordination, and inbound/outbound logistics - ultimately ensuring an exceptional patient experience with our dispensing pharmacy. You will ensure the site is highly organized, efficient, and fully supplied to support pharmacy dispensing activities. In this role, you will lead a team of non-clinical support staff (e.g., inventory specialists, materials handlers, operational coordinators) and work in close partnership with licensed pharmacy leadership, including the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), to provide seamless, compliant operational support. **What You’ll Do:** Operational Workflow Management - Work with the pharmacy operations team (pharmacists/technicians) to meet/exceed daily SLAs and cut-off times; ensuring consistent, predictable operational performance. - Oversee the physical flow of inventory and materials, including receiving, staging, storage, and support for outbound packaging workflows (excluding direct medication handling). - Establish and maintain daily workflow processes, including station prep checklists, staging quotas, replenishment schedules, and end-of-day protocols. - Monitor intraday throughput and fulfillment SLAs; dynamically adjust labor and employee assignments based on real-time performance data. Facility & Layout Optimization - Design and manage a safe, scalable, and efficient facility layout that supports high-throughput operations and reduces bottlenecks. - Ensure smooth material flow from receiving through outbound to minimize travel time and congestion. - Support implementation and ongoing use of automation and technology systems (e.g., barcode scanners, conveyors). Inventory & Supplies Management - Oversee the flow of pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical inventory, including forecasting, receiving, storage, and replenishment (excluding medication handling). - Own vendor coordination, ordering, and delivery scheduling to prevent stockouts and support continuous operations. - Lead inventory control programs, including cycle counts and reconciliation audits. - Ensure all workstations are fully stocked with supplies through proactive staging and restocking processes. Team Leadership - Directly manage a team of non-clinical staff, including Fulfillment Support Associates. - Set daily goals and expectations; provide coaching, performance feedback, and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to align non-clinical operations with regulated pharmacy workflows. - Collaborate with Facilities, IT, and Procurement to ensure operational continuity, solve emergent issues, and support growth. **What You Need:** - 7+ years of leadership experience in warehouse, fulfillment, or logistics operations; experience in central fill pharmacy workflows or pharmaceutical inventory is preferred. - Proven ability to optimize fulfillment operations and implement technology-driven improvements. - Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies is a plus. - Strong people management skills with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams. - Expertise in inventory control, supply logistics, and vendor relationship management. - Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities. - Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in warehouse systems, productivity dashboards (e.g. Tableau), and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. - Must be located in or willing to relocate to the Pittsburgh, PA area (Coraopolis). **Why Join Us:**It is rare to have a company that both deeply impacts its customers and is able to provide its services across a massive population. At Blink, we have a huge impact on people when they are most vulnerable: at the intersection of their healthcare and finances. We are also the fastest growing healthcare company in the country and are driving that impact across millions of new patients every year. Our business model not only helps people, but drives economics that allow us to build a generational company. We are a relentlessly learning, constantly curious, and aggressively collaborative cross-functional team dedicated to inventing new ways to improve the lives of our customers. We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity of all kinds. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status. Applicants who provide their phone number and consent to receive text messages may receive SMS or MMS updates from Blink Health regarding their application.
