Your mission About ImFusion ImFusion develops software for medical imaging, computer vision, AI, and robotics. Together with leading medical technology companies, we turn advanced research into products used in clinical practice. We are looking for a Senior Medical Imaging Scientist to join our Ultrasound team and help develop the next generation of image-guided intervention technologies. Your responsibilities Develop algorithms for real-time interventional imaging Work on image segmentation, registration, reconstruction, and image fusion Apply and develop AI methods for medical imaging applications Contribute to our C++ and Python software framework Lead technical work packages and contribute to project planning and execution Collaborate directly with industry customers and research partners Help transform research prototypes into commercial products Publish scientific results and present your work at conferences This position requires candidates to be based within approximately one hour of Munich. While remote work is possible for most tasks, occasional project phases require on-site work with hardware in our Munich lab, sometimes at short notice. Your profile Your profile PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field Strong C++ skills Experience in medical image computing Knowledge of CT, MRI, Ultrasound, or related imaging modalities Strong problem-solving and communication skills Fluent English Nice to have Experience with ultrasound signal processing, beamforming, image-guided interventions, or surgical navigation. Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch Experience with real-time imaging, hardware integration, or robotic imaging Please note: For this position, we require your Bachelor’s and Master’s transcripts of records as part of your application.
