About us Dyson is a global technology enterprise. We solve the problems others choose to ignore, with surprising new inventions that defy convention and simply work better. We’re driven by progress and thrive on the challenge of relentless improvement. We’re growing fast and our ambition is huge – more categories, more locations and more people. Our scale and rapid growth make Dyson rich in new opportunities. We value new ideas and diverse perspectives, so our people are trusted with real work and responsibility from the outset. You’ll develop fast and have the chance to move into different business areas and regions. And you’ll be part of a global network of like-minded people – a community that supports and learns from each other. Power Systems is a global RDD function that designs and develops Dyson’s internal technologies that enable most of our products. The team has experts in wide range of areas such as electromagnetic, mechanical, electrical, control algorithm, software, and project management. Motor Drives and Advanced Control (MDAC) within Power Systems is responsible for the motor control, electromagnetic, system control, motor control software, and verifications. With over 100 experts globally, our team works from early development through to the production of our designs. About the role Dyson offers a unique opportunity for talented individuals to join its Research, Design and Development (RDD) function in Philippines as part of MDAC Team as a Motor Drives Engineer. He/she will be applying his/her skills and experience in Electrical Machines Design, Modelling and Simulation, and Power Electronics to deliver Motor Drives solution to our next generation Dyson technologies and products. You will be working as part of larger project team and some of your tasks could include: Support design, development, and implementation of motor control algorithm in both product and production as per project plan. Document motor control requirements, design guide, test method and implementation through Change Request. Review system verification results and provide feedbacks. Support design, commissioning and troubleshooting of complex production end of line test, tune, product calibration systems and functional testers as required by any new motor or product projects. Perform data analysis on production datalog, buy off and spot opportunities for process improvement & optimisation.
