Senior or Lead Product Designer

Job description

**Join ShopMy - Powering the Future of Digital Marketing** ShopMy is transforming e-commerce by building the infrastructure for human-led curation at scale. We help brands run performance-driven creator programs while enabling top creators to monetize their influence and partner directly with the brands they love—driving discovery through trusted tastemakers and authentic recommendations. ShopMy recently became a unicorn, raising at a $1.5B valuation with backing from Bessemer Venture Partners, Avenir Growth Capital, and Bain Capital Ventures. At ShopMy, you're building the future of human-led commerce for the world's best brands, tastemakers, and shoppers. You move fast and see immediate impact in your work, alongside accomplished teammates who are driven by helping find the world's best things. If you’re excited to help shape the future of curated commerce at the intersection of technology, culture, and taste, we’d love to meet you. We're seeking a **Senior or Lead Product Designer** who combines exceptional UI craft with a strong builder mentality. This is someone who doesn't just design what's asked—they help shape what should be built in the first place. You'll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and Design to take ideas from discovery through polished, high-quality execution, balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints every step of the way. You're comfortable supporting research, exploring opportunities, prototyping solutions, and iterating quickly while maintaining a high bar for craft, accessibility, and detail. Beyond execution, you're naturally curious and think outside the boundaries of design. You have a keen eye for opportunities to improve usability, aesthetics, and the overall product experience for our creators, brands, and shoppers. You're excited to explore emerging tools and AI-assisted workflows, bring fresh ideas that elevate both our product and our team, and aren't afraid to dive into new ways of building—even if they're outside your traditional role. **A love for what we're building is a must—we're a small but passionate team, and that enthusiasm shows in everything we create.** ### **What You’ll Do** - **Own the end-to-end design process**—from discovery, assisting in research/concept exploration through polished implementation, QA and launch. - **Partner deeply with Product and Engineering** to help define problems, shape product strategy, and influence what gets built—not just how it looks. - **Think beyond design deliverables**, proactively identifying opportunities to improve workflows, product quality, and customer experience across creators, brands, and shoppers. - **Prototype and experiment** to validate ideas quickly, communicate concepts clearly, and reduce uncertainty before development. - **Leverage modern AI tools and emerging workflows** to accelerate design, QA, prototyping, and execution while maintaining a high standard of quality. - **Collaborate in critiques and product discussions**, giving thoughtful feedback while continuously raising the bar for the team. - **Contribute to and evolve our design system**, ensuring consistency, scalability, and accessibility. - **Maintain exceptional craft and attention to detail**, delivering polished experiences that feel intentional from concept to launch. - **Stay curious about new tools, technologies, and product patterns**, helping evolve how our team designs and builds. ### **What We’re Looking For** - 7+ years of product design experience, ideally in a startup or fast-moving product environment. - A portfolio demonstrating exceptional design, visual craft, and product thinking. - Experience designing across web, mobile, and responsive platforms. - A builder mindset—you enjoy solving problems beyond the interface and aren't afraid to jump into unfamiliar territory. - Strong product intuition with the ability to balance user needs, business objectives, and technical constraints. - Comfort with **rapid iteration** — and comfortable working through ambiguity and knowing when to explore versus when to ship. - Experience creating prototypes to communicate ideas and validate solutions. - Curiosity about AI-powered design and development workflows. Experience with tools like Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, or similar is a plus—but not required. We're excited to teach the right person how we build. - Excellent collaboration and communication skills with Product, Engineering, and Design. - A systems thinker who cares deeply about scalability, quality, and craft. - Excited by ShopMy's mission and eager to help shape both our product and the way we build it.
