Senior Platform Engineer

Job description

## **V7** At V7, we’re building AI platforms that help humans do their best work, at incredible scale and speed. Our mission is to turn human knowledge into trustworthy AI, making complex tasks faster, smarter, and more accurate. We’re growing fast, backed by leading investors and AI pioneers (including the minds behind Transformers and Gemini). ## **The product** V7 Go helps teams turn complex, repeatable work into AI workflows they can run, review and improve**.** Built for private markets, insurance and real estate, it supports investment diligence, underwriting, claims review and portfolio reporting—from analysing documents and data to generating deliverables and updating connected systems. Your experts define how the work should be done. V7 combines reusable Skills, shared company knowledge and configurable workflows, with citations, audit logs and human review to help teams verify results and control key decisions. It supports models including GPT, Claude and Gemini. - **Build workflows around your processes.** Configure each stage, choose models and tools, and set review steps where human judgement matters. Teams can inspect sources, correct outputs and refine workflows over time. [Explore workflows](https://www.v7labs.com/tables). - **Give every workflow your firm’s knowledge.** The [Context Graph](https://www.v7labs.com/context-graph) connects documents, entities, relationships and source evidence, creating institutional memory that teams and agents can draw on. - **Turn analysis into work your team can use.** Generate editable memos, reports, presentations and spreadsheets, and connect workflows to the tools your business already uses. [Explore document generation](https://www.v7labs.com/slides). ## **The team you’ll be joining and impact you’ll have** - A small Platform team with a very wide remit: cloud, SRE, DevOps, developer experience, compliance, and the infrastructure behind our AI products. - We run AWS first across multiple regions, with GCP and Azure alongside. Our model providers come through all three, so this is genuinely multi-cloud work. - We're in the process of making everything faster, more reliable and nicer to work with, for enterprise customers who expect a lot. There are a number of compliance and big expansion projects on the horizon - Our engineers lean heavily on AI coding agents and sandboxes. You’ll shape how that works across the company, giving people freedom while keeping us in control. ## **What you’ll be doing from day one:** - Owning our infrastructure as code in Terraform, plus alerting, observability (Prometheus, Grafana) and reliability, including load testing and disaster recovery exercises. - Making CI/CD faster (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD) and taking obstacles out of engineers’ way, from build times to how they run AI agents day to day. - Running the platform behind our AI workloads across Bedrock, Vertex AI and Azure, with a close eye on reliability and cost. - Getting on calls with enterprise customers and our commercial team to troubleshoot and answer infrastructure and security questions. Alongside that, compliance work and a spot on the on-call rotation. ## **Who you are** - Strong AWS in production, ideally multi-region. Hands-on with GCP, with Azure a bonus. You understand how model consumption works through each cloud. - Deep experience with Terraform, observability and CI/CD, and you write solid Python (Elixir is a bonus, or you’re keen to learn). - A clear communicator who’s happy explaining technical things to a customer, not just to other engineers. - Independent and comfortable with ambiguity. You find problems without being handed tickets, and you don’t mind when priorities flip from one week to the next. V7 champions equality and inclusion because diverse teams build better products. Don't check every box? Apply anyway — we value what makes you unique and will support you through the process, just let our Talent team know how they can help.
