Senior Principal Product Manager - Campaign & Content Platform

THE ROLE & THE TEAM Our Campaign & Content Platform empowers producers to deliver retail campaigns and content across Zalando at scale. We provide consolidated editing capabilities, analytics, and performance insights to steer content quality, along with built-in safety guardrails. Content publishers capture and present content through standardized platform formats that manage content moderation, translation, media processing, and customer experience seamlessness. We run the infrastructure for nearly all content on Zalando, including Outfits, Videos, Boards, Creator, and Brand content. Everything from ingestion to delivery, moderation, labeling, and asset management runs through or on our platform. We serve a vast and growing audience of approximately 700 internal users, over 2,000 brand and agency users, and 650 creators. Consolidating and continually elevating this platform directly shapes their daily experience and drives engaging commerce experiences for millions of customers. As Senior Principal Product Manager, you will take ownership and contribute to the product vision for the Campaign & Content Platform. Operating as an individual contributor, you will shape the multi-year vision and commercial roadmap for content technologies at Zalando. You will lead cross-functional alignment across product, engineering, and design, while navigating complex executive stakeholder environments. In this role, you will champion platform innovation - including leveraging AI technologies to streamline publisher workflows and elevate customer engagement - while directly driving customer impact and ROI. WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING) Take end-to-end ownership of the Content & Campaigns product vision, driving mid-to-long-term strategies that solve complex business challenges with minimal guidance. Shape scalable value propositions aligned with the Zalando Group Strategy, taking full accountability for resulting customer impact, ROI, and commercial outcomes. Translate complex data sets and KPI driver trees into clear action, establishing sustainable mechanisms for repeated analysis and strategic decisions. Build collaborative structures and foster transparent stakeholder alignment to navigate ambiguity and execute complex product launches seamlessly. Lead product innovation and best practices, acting as a mentor and coach to fellow product managers to elevate capabilities across the job family. Drive community contribution by active mentoring, sharing best practices, and applying emerging technologies such as AI to enhance content creation and user experience. WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF Demonstrated experience leading complex product strategy and delivering measurable commercial outcomes in creator or content-rich environments. Strong capability to manage multifaceted stakeholder environments and guide senior executive leaders across cross-functional teams. Deep analytical skill set with hands-on experience deriving actionable insights from large data sets (e.g., Databricks) and KPI driver trees. Proven product discovery and experimentation skills, using customer research, data, and testing to validate decisions. Passion for and experience with applying AI and working alongside Applied Science teams to solve complex problems and generate content efficiently.
