Senior Product Analyst

At Beam, we’re building AI that serves society. We're a global team of ambitious, hardworking problem solvers, applying fast-moving startup energy to work that makes the world a better place. If you want to apply your talent to the biggest problems society faces, Beam is the place for you. You’ll be part of a high-performance culture where you'll make a huge impact, rapidly progress your career, and truly enjoy your work. Over 100,000 frontline workers already use Beam to take notes, provide live interpretation and handle phone calls, so they can focus on the people who need them most. This is just the beginning. # **The opportunity at Beam** We're looking for a Senior Product Analyst to translate Beam's data into decisions that get more frontline workers and the people they support the help they need. **What you’ll be doing** - **Owning the important questions** - working hand in hand with our PMs and engineers to define the metrics behind each squad's roadmap, then answering the hardest questions yourself rather than working through a queue of requests - **Building the data models everything else runs on** - extending our BigQuery, dbt and metabase setup so that a metric is defined once, tested properly, documented, and trusted by everyone who uses it - **Turning analysis into decisions** - your work is done when the decision is made, the metric moves, or the next step is clear - not when the dashboard ships - **Making data self-serve, including for AI** - building the models, definitions and context that let teams across Beam get a trustworthy answer in plain language **Who we’re looking for** - **A track record of analysis that changed something** - you can point to product decisions that went differently because of your work, ideally in a fast-moving startup where the playbook wasn't written yet - **Hands-on experience across the stack** - comfortable owning analytics from tracking through to insight, with strong SQL and tools like BigQuery, dbt and Metabase. You might not have used all of them, but you should be quick to learn - **Fluency with AI in your own workflow** - you already use AI to move faster and you're appropriately sceptical of it, able to explain how you verified an answer as well as how you produced it - **Real conviction about the mission** - you want your work to matter for frontline workers and the people they support, and you're excited by Beam's values and ways of working **Compensation**: £70,000 - £90,000 base salary depending on experience and performance during interviews + equity and amazing benefits (see our careers page) We're committed to advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion through our work as an organisation, and that starts with the team we build. 53% of the people we support are from ethnic minority backgrounds and 17% have disabilities. We believe we serve these people best when we’re a diverse and inclusive team. To that end, we particularly welcome applications from ethnic minority candidates and/or those who’ve experienced social disadvantage. # **Application process** We take hiring seriously. We have a 4-stage and an optional 5th interview process, giving you plenty of time to learn about Beam while we get to know you. 1. 30 minute intro with our Talent team 2. 45 minute Interview with Ben, Analytics Lead 3. ±1hr take-home task + 30m task debrief with two interviewers 4. 30 minute product and cultural interview with one of our founders # **About Beam** We’ve picked up an armful of [awards](https://beam.org/awards) for our work, including one from our former Queen.
