Senior Product Designer - Post Booking experience

Job description

We’re on a mission to become the go-to destination for students across Europe to find a trusted home away from home. We make every step of the rental journey simple and seamless, so students can focus on what really matters: studying, exploring, and growing. With HousingAnywhere, Kamernet, and Studapart under our roof, we’re Europe’s largest student rental platform. You’ll find us in Rotterdam, Paris, and Cergy, always guided by our four core values: Ownership, We are enablers, We are changemakers, and We are connectors. **Your role** *Help people feel at home, beyond the booking.* Booking a place is only the beginning. Moving to a new country means navigating unfamiliar processes, managing payments, and building a relationship with a landlord—all while settling into a new life. At HousingAnywhere, we want people to feel supported throughout their stay, with the confidence that comes from knowing what happens next and where to turn when they need help. We are looking for a **Senior Product Designer** to own the **Post Booking experience, with a strong focus on our mobile app**. You will shape how tenants and landlords use HousingAnywhere throughout a tenancy: from preparing for move-in and managing payments to getting support and extending a stay. You’ll bring strong mobile app design experience and product thinking to make these everyday interactions feel simple, intuitive, and reliable—helping turn HousingAnywhere into a trusted companion throughout the rental journey. - Shape the long-term vision for the journey beyond the booking, making HousingAnywhere a trusted part of everyday renting. - Design experiences that help tenants and landlords prepare for move-in, manage payments, communicate clearly, and navigate issues with confidence. - Explore how we can provide ongoing value throughout a tenancy, including renewals and longer stays. - Lead projects from early discovery through launch and iteration. - Use qualitative research, behavioural data, and experimentation to make decisions, not opinions. - Define success, measure impact, and continuously improve your solutions—connecting customer trust and satisfaction with adoption, retention, and business value. - Raise the quality bar across the design team through thoughtful critique and craft. - Contribute to our design principles, design system, and the way we build the product. **Your team** **Collaborate deeply. Design with absolute purpose.** You'll work alongside Product, Engineering, Research, and Data as an equal partner to challenge assumptions, validate ideas, and turn ambiguity into a product that genuinely improves people's lives. You'll also collaborate closely with our operational teams to understand where the digital experience meets the realities of moving in and renting a home. We move fast, we think ahead, and we focus on what our audience truly needs. You'll have the freedom to influence your team’s strategy in an environment that values: - Elegant interaction design and meaningful micro-interactions - Clear design principles and consistent systems - Accessible experiences - Quality over shortcuts Shipping fast matters. Shipping something we're proud of matters even more. If you thrive on autonomy and solving complex puzzles, we want to hear from you. **Your profile** - At least 7+ years of experience designing complex digital products. - Proven experience designing native mobile apps for iOS and Android. - Strong product thinking and problem framing skills. - Excellent interaction and visual design craft. - Experience in marketplaces, search or discovery products. - Experience running discovery and validating ideas. - Confidence working with data, metrics and experiments. - Experience collaborating closely with engineers and product managers. - A portfolio showing not only what you designed – but why. **What’s in it for you** - Unlimited paid holidays, minimum-based not maximum! - Position based in our Rotterdam office with hybrid working policy (2 office days). - Flexibility to work remotely for up to 2 months per year! - 1,000 EUR personal development budget. - Complete coverage for commuting. - Personal equipment, including laptop and ergonomic setup. - Gym membership discount with GoVital or OneFit. - Dutch/English classes budget. - Variable pension scheme. - Diverse international community (46+ nationalities). - Pet-friendly office in Rotterdam city centre. - Team-building events and after-work drinks every Friday.
