Senior Product Manager

Schema App is a fast-growing, profitable SaaS company headquartered in Guelph, Ontario, with a team across Canada. We’re a smart, collaborative group driven by a shared mission: to become a global leader in enterprise marketing technology and help organizations future-proof for the age of AI. We work with some of the world’s most recognized enterprises, including SAP, Wells Fargo, and Henry Ford Health, to give them control over how their brand is understood and represented by AI across search and digital experiences. At our core, we believe that in the age of AI, a brand is only as strong as the data behind it and the connections within it. As search evolves into AI-driven and agent-led experiences, that foundation becomes critical. That’s why we’re building the infrastructure enterprises need to control how they show up in AI today and compete in the agentic web tomorrow: driving growth, protecting their brand, and leading in the next generation of digital experiences. We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to help us continue to innovate and grow by bringing execution discipline to how we build and launch products—driving adoption of our product frameworks, leading change across teams, and executing go-to-market initiatives. We're looking for an ambitious, well-rounded product leader with experience in B2B SaaS, ideally in a startup through scale-up environment—or evidence of equivalent experience and impact. As we continue to grow, we're evolving how we build products to become more systematic, scalable, and customer-driven. We're looking for someone who can help lead that evolution while making a meaningful impact. If that sounds like you, show us in your application. Functional Accountabilities Product Ownership & Execution Discipline: Execute sprint planning, backlog grooming and refinement, and release cadence in direct partnership with Engineering. Discover and translate customer needs into clear, actionable user stories, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate release readiness. Data-Informed Roadmapping & Prioritization: Apply the roadmap and prioritization framework to real decisions, grounding tradeoffs in usage data, customer feedback, and business impact. Make those tradeoffs explicit and defensible to stakeholders, balancing customer value, market trends, and strategic goals. Market & User Understanding: Build and maintain a first-hand understanding of Schema App’s users, customers, and competitive market — including how AI search and agentic experiences are reshaping the category — through direct customer and user conversations, usage analysis, and ongoing market and competitor tracking. Bring that understanding into roadmap, prioritization, and go-to-market (GTM) conversations as concrete evidence, not assumption. Go-to-Market Execution: Partner with Marketing and Customer Success to apply Schema App’s GTM playbook to successful launches, including positioning, launch plans, Sales and CSM enablement, and adoption tracking. Adapt the playbook to context and identify where it needs to evolve. AI & Agent Fluency: Use AI copilots and agentic tools to work faster and more effectively, with clear judgment about what to verify versus trust. Bring a working understanding of how AI answer engines and autonomous agents retrieve and act on structured content. Stakeholder Communication & Enablement: Communicate the roadmap and releases clearly and effectively to internal stakeholders and external audiences, including through webinars and customer-facing updates. Change Management & Framework Adoption: Act as a key partner in rolling out and driving day-to-day adoption of the frameworks introduced by the Product Community of Practice — modeling them consistently, coaching Engineering and cross-functional partners through the change, and surfacing ground-level feedback that informs how those frameworks are refined. Key Competencies Change Management & Framework Adoption: Drives day-to-day adoption of frameworks designed by the Head of Product and Product Community of Practice — including sprint rituals, backlog hygiene, and GTM playbooks — modeling and coaching consistently rather than reinventing them locally or letting them lapse under pressure. Customer-Centric Delivery: Breaks work into small, shippable increments and validates them with real customers and users along the way — adjusting the next increment based on what’s learned rather than delivering large, fully specified releases in one batch. AI & Agent Fluency: Personally uses AI copilots and agentic tools to work faster, with clear judgment about what to verify versus trust. Understands how AI answer engines and agents retrieve and act on structured content, and applies that understanding to prioritization and positioning decisions. Strategic Thinking: Anticipates market needs, identifies competitive advantages, and aligns product strategy with business goals and long-term relevance. Data-Informed Decision Making: Uses adoption metrics, customer behavior, and usage trends as the foundation for prioritization, defining success criteria and measuring impact. Stakeholder Management: Builds strong relationships across Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success; communicates transparently and handles competing priorities diplomatically. Customer Empathy: Actively listens to customer feedback and user research, translating it into product improvements that resonate. Technical Competency: Understands technical tradeoffs well enough to have meaningful architecture and feasibility discussions with Engineering. Metrics Sprint predictability and backlog health (velocity consistency, ready-backlog depth) Product adoption and engagement rates Roadmap predictability and stakeholder confidence Customer satisfaction and retention rate GTM/launch outcomes tied to positioning and enablement work Schema App’s Core Values Growth Mindset: You’re curious, ambitious, and always looking for ways to improve — whether that’s evolving how we build products, learning from customers and data, or experimenting with new AI and agentic tools. You’re comfortable adapting as the market, our product practices, and Schema App continue to evolve. Resourceful: You turn ambiguity into action. You use data, customer insight, AI tools, and the expertise around you to make informed decisions, solve problems, and keep work moving — without waiting for perfect information or perfect conditions. One Team: Great products are built cross-functionally. You build strong partnerships with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and other teams, bringing people along through change and creating shared ownership of product decisions, launches, and outcomes. Humble: You bring strong product judgment without assuming you have all the answers. You listen to customers, users, and teammates, make your thinking transparent, seek out evidence that challenges your assumptions, and change course when what you learn points to a better path.
